"Great gun out of the box, although it has its imperfections that are an easy swap/fix or
are pretty minor.
Pros
-Great VFC 6.05 brass barrel with the standard VFC black soft bucking, great precision and range out of the box. A tightbore is really not needed for increasing the precision out of the box, but using a promy 6.03 barrel would slightly increase the velocity.
-Solid metal body/chassis that is expected from VFC builds that doesn't feel like a cheap pot metal alloy found with other cheaper aeg's made by other companies, feels alike a real steel body
-Avalon gearbox that is excellently for upgrading, I recommend buying retro arms vfc specific gearbox if you plan to build a high stress build and don't want the GB shell to fall victim to the infamous Avalon fronting cracking gearbox. But only needed for high stress builds, if kept stock it should hold up just fine.
-Stock is fantastic and very sturdy
-No lose wobbling anywhere in the gun, but make sure to fully torque down the stock clamping screw, as mine was slightly loose from the factory.
-True ambi-controls. bolt release that is indeed functional and helps with hop adjustments. ---Ambi selector switch
The meh
-The motor grip feels a little bit awkward but does offer good grip with the stippling, so no slipping with sweaty game hands. Might recommend swapping to a PTS aeg Motor grip.
-No spare mags at the timing of reviewing this sadly, but I bought this more as a collectors item rather than a competition aeg.
-Not sure if its just certain models, but my bolt release will not fully bring the charging handle forward fully like the MCX model does.
Cons
-The right sided mag release feels a little far for medium sized adult hands, I instead will opt to use the left side release with my left hand to grip the mag to release the mag
-The gun's trigger in semi will lock up if you rapid fire, but you can unlock it by switching to auto and switching back.
----There are other ways to remedy this issue such as installing an ETU such as a titan or aster, or swapping to a TRUE neodymium motor like an ASG 30k boost long type, but this MAY not always certainly fix it but does indeed help.
-Hop up window is a small and would be difficult to access with gloves or large fingers. I changed mine using a small screw driver to adjust the rotary hop up
-Mags don't like to slide in the mag well fully and close the mag catch depending on how you insert the mag. Unlike M4 mags they do not slide in easily, to remedy this I recommend rock the mag in from the back to forward, opposite of how you would rock and lock a mag such as with an ak or m14 mag. So you can consistently get the mags locked in place
My personal review 9/10. Not perfect but the chassis build is solid and internally VFC avalon builds are great for upgrading, as I plan to do myself later.

"Very good looking replica, feels pretty good out of the box. I stripped the internals for a Polarstar Jack and had a bunch of fitment problems, especially front wiring the FCU/battery. Also, I switched the stocks with my MCX so they're more realistic. The charging handle for me doesn't return properly, and sometimes the dust cover doesn't open when pulling the charging handle, but if you have the hop up set where you want it, you shouldn't need that. The angle custom hive mock suppressor fits inside the handguard, so there's no need to remove the suppressor if you want to plug your battery in.
Overall, it looks good, feels pretty decent, but could use some work. Also, we desperately need spare mags for this ASAP!

"I have both the mcx and mpx, I bought this for the stock but fell in love with the externals and the look of it once I got my hands on it, however, the internals on the other hand are less then desired, I’ve had two Avalon gear boxes one in my mcx and then this one, and both have broken within 3 Days of acquiring the replicas, the Avalon gear box tends to kill its Ecs and it’s fuse, and the gears were missing teeth, this isn’t much of an issue to myself since I know a fair bit about teching, however for someone who just wants to get out and play this could be a problem, I wouldn’t recommend getting this replica unless your prepared to have to fix the gearboc
