"So far functions perfectly in my CBQ master WE Tech Hi Capa, slide locks back, and I can reach the slide release with my hand without changing my grip. It doesn't seem flimsy to me, feels as tough as my original. Only slight issue is it's black, so it doesn't perfectly match the color of my gun, but that's my fault

"A nice product at a good price.

While I still cannot reach the slide release without changing my grip somewhat, it does make it easier to reach--and I have large hands. If this product was any larger it would probably make holstering too difficult.

As an added bonus, it fit tighter on my KJW KP-05 than the stock lever which was loose/sloppy.

"Excellent product, sized perfectly to engage with your thumb without changing your grip on your pistol. It has good scratch resistance paint on it, it won't lock back on WE/socom gear MEU guns without some modifying but it will fit in the gun.

"Looks good on my WE Baby Hi Capa 3.8!

"Nice item, allows people with smaller hands to reach the slide lock with the right hand.

The color is a bit on the grey side, similar to some of WE's other parts such as the G series slides.

This only works for hi-capas. It will fit in standard 1911s and MEUs, but will not lock back with empty magazines, which in a way defeats the purpose. Just something to think about.

"This slide release is great! This came stock on my CQB Master Alpha (a 5.1 custom Hi-Capa); it makes it a LOT easier to release the slide. I would definitely recommend this.

"I've only fielded my KJW Full Metal Custom 1911 Tactical HI-CAPA for one game and mainly use it left handed as my left index finger can both trip the slide catch and mag release better then my right hand can and usually my right hand is still keeping positive control of my primary weapon.

Before i bought this there was no way i could trip the slide catch and release the slide forward without changing my grip on the pistol. 8 bucks enabled me to use my sidearm with either hand. It's full metal, takes less then a few seconds to install and is worth every penny.

Personally i think these things should come standard on every 1911 but for 8 dollars it's an inexpensive and VERY useful modification

"This is a great upgrade for your Hicapa considering the price. I installed it onto my WE T-REX and it performed well enough. With it installed I could release the slide one handed!

For some reason it would'nt work for one of my mags. Even though the mag was empty, the slide wouldn't lock in place once racked. Might be a duds but for 6.80 it's acceptable.

-This slide lock looks and feels great.
-Really does make reloading easier.

-Black finish comes of rather easily.
-My particular unit often prevents the slide from locking back on an empty mag. I have tested this on a three different WE Hi-Capa models and my KJW KP-05 and have had the same problem with all of them. Not sure why this causes that to happen, but maybe it will go away with use. It is an occasional problem, but happens often.

"I got this for my KJW Hi Capa.

Compared to the stock slide release , this one is VERY flimsy. Don't force it in or you'll easily bend it.

When It first went in, it wasn't actually catching the slide, but with a bit of adjustments to the placement it started working. There is already a chunk of the flimsy piece of metal missing. It kind of worries me, but I'll have to deal with it I suppose.

It works GREAT in terms of not having to change your grip to actually reach it with your thumb, so there's that. I just wish they made it with harder metal. You can physically bend it if you really wanted to.
