"You will need to remove the hex around the flashhider before you unscrew it I beleive.

"This barrel & flash hider combo has a decent balance between the pros & cons. Good weight and durability, but flash hider is not removable. When I received the unit in the mail, I quickly opened the package and tried to remove the flash hider only to find that it is riveted into place instead of being screwed on. Rather disappointing, but it feels and looks good on the Civilian AUG I am rebuilding.
