"I got this gun a few weeks ago, and so far the gun is so much fun to just go out and shoot! So far I've only had one problem with it, and that was the screws in the gearbox were a bit janky so the gun would make an odd noise when shooting, but once that was fixed it was running like normal, it has a fast fire rate and can hold a large amount of bbs, you might wanna get extra mags with it and make sure to wind them up all the way before shooting it otherwise you'll run out of bbs that you can shoot rather quickly.

"If you want a short review, here it is
If you want a good gun and/or replica for playing in an airsoft field look no further.

Here’s a long review.
Pros:
Decent FPS
Good rate of fire
Very accurate for firing and historical
Red tip is easy to take off
Exceptional compfort
Mostly metal
Nice iron sights
Looks awesome
Good weight

Cons:
High cap mag missfeeds
Fake wood squeaks
Hop up moves by it’s self

This thing is really fun it’s my second aeg and is decently priced. This thing looks great and works great, but you really need to take your time to wind the mag or you’re going to be dry firing a lot. I started using an 8.4v battery and I got about 12 rounds per second then I bought an 11.1 lipo and the rate of fire went up abou 6 or 7 .this works a lot better and is mor consistent with full auto. Saying this, I highly recommend this for anyone that likes airsoft and is interested in war history

"I've had this gun for 13 years. I've never had a single issue with it. I love this gun and will never get rid of it!

"Ordered one of these and ended up getting sent a CYMA version.
I wanted an M1 Thompson to add to my collection, all that's necessary to turn it into a M1 Thompson is to remove the "Ears" surrounding the rear sight, easy.
Mine averaged around 370 FPS out of the box.
Mag insertion was initially super stiff but it smoothed itself out eventually.
The orange tip splits into 2 halves. All u have to do is hammer the thinnest flathead screwdriver you've got into the seams and split it apart.
Internal quality is what ud expect from a CYMA.
The only parts I didn't really like were the plastic spring guide and plastic bushings.
The bushings are the same as the TM spec v6 AEGs, meaning the spur gear bushings are oval-like. Guarder make the bushings that fit these so get those.
The spring guide is V3 spec.
Not sure if the spur gear is proprietary since the spur gear bushings are proprietary, keep it in mind.
Nozzle appears to be just a hair shorter than the SHS Thompson nozzle since the gun wouldn't feed with it.
Cylinder head and tappet plate are V6 spec.
Overall it's a pretty decent gun, very open to upgrades.

"Such an amazing rifle!!! I almost always buy rifles over $200 so I know the rifle is good, however, this one of my favorite rifles!!!! Super cheap, OUTSTANDING quality, good range, battery life, and more! Super happy.

"Works great. Shoots well. A bit annoying to change the batteries, but not a huge deal.

"This gun is a great gun for someone who is interested in getting into “WWII Soft” with no experience in this field. It keeps the high capacity and full auto capabilities while still looking like a price of history. For that added realism pick up the wood conversion kit. Only con is that the battery rattles in the stock badly and the stock feels very cheap.

"Two of my 3 gripes with this gun are with the advertising on Evike's part.

Instead of a 50 round mid-cap, it came with a ~400(?) round hi-cap mag.

It was advertised to come without battery and charger, but it did come with an 8.4v and a trickle charger. (Just throw that charger away, but at least it comes with one).

The only actual issue I had with the gun itself was it just up and quitting after the first burst of 5 rounds. I pulled the gearbox out and took off the trigger, and just put it back together without actually doing anything and it hasn't skipped a beat since. I'm gonna chalk that up to Schmidt luck.

"By far the best gun I've ever had, if sighted in good enough, the accuracy is pin point. Range isnt bad either. I always hated using iron sights but one I got a squad of 3 out I began to like irons. If your not used to a long stock and you buy this? Youll get used to it instantly. I payed $140 for it and I think CYMA shoulda asked for more for the qual of this gun. Will be buying real wood furniture though soon. Definitely worth the money if not more.

Get a battery and smart charger for it and this thing is amazing!

LONG REVIEW:

Pros-
Great FPS
ALOT of metal on this gun
Very Accurate
Very accessible hop-up
Very reliable
Relatively lightweight (Given that most of it is metal)
Good battery storage for compartment

Cons-
Not very suitable for winter (Water can freeze over this)
Can seize firing when put on single fire sometimes (to fix this, select it to full auto and fire it, then go back to single fire and it should be fine)

Other than that, this blows king arms right out of the water.
Well done CYMA!

"If you're just getting into airsoft or looking to pick this gun up, do it without a question. This gun, although it is a primitive machine, is amazing. First of all it's the only Airsoft gun I've bought out of the box is super accurate. Secondly, the mags (King Arms mid-cap magazines) are super inexpensive so you can have a buy a ton and if they break, oh well they were $11 and you can get another. Nothing hurt! I would buy this gun again in a heartbeat.

"Probably one of the best values on the market. I have owned this gun for 8 years of heavy use and can say it is the single best performing gun that I have ever owned. I have had a variety of guns over the years and while many of them require tinkering to get to work right this one just needs a bit of wear. Out of the box it has a bit of an over hop problem, but once that bucking wears in expect near sniper level accuracy and range. The range is not that of an hpa rifle, but it is above average as far as aegs and tends to be very consistant. Now what stands out about this gun is its reliability. i have had this gun break once over the last 8 years 6 years after i bought it with heavy use. over the years like any gun you will notice that the spring will eventually wear down and over 8 years of use it has gone from 400 to around 320 and despite the drop in fps it still has about 90% of the original range and can still out range most guns on the field (however i can now use it at point blank range so i will not be replacing the spring). The only bad thing about this gun is the lack of a rail system and the 8.4v battery it comes with as it works best with a 9.6 (8.4v battery is to simulate the original guns rate of fire so highly recommend a 9.6). as far as this gun goes it just works well and i would highly recommend it.

tldr

pros:
1. good fps
2. excellent reliability (went 6 years with only needing to replace 1 part)
3. excellent accuracy
4. good quality parts

cons:
1. creaky plastic grip (stock and fore grip are fine)
2. no rails (it has good enough accuracy to be a good dmr)
3. too much hop-up out of the box (counteract with heavy bbs until it wears down)
