"As the previous reviewer states, this unit comes with a plastic internal plate. The nub that sits in the grooves for each firing position is also plastic. You can swap it out with a small bearing, but I should have believed the previous reviewer. I'm not a fan of plastic on such a high use part.

"to clear up some ambiguity here, although the selector switch itself is steel or at least some type of metal, the inner cam that contacts the selector plate is PLASTIC. although it does seem a fairly strong plastic I would never ever have bought this item if I would have known this in advance. The reason I had to buy a selector switch is because my last plastic inner cam failed. I would recommend trying something else
