I got this motor with the Systema m170 gearbox package. While both are great the motor has one big flaw, which is the pinion gear. I installed the new gearbox and motor into my metal body M4 and was signing in my scope and after less than 500 rounds I heard a whine and the gearbox lock up on me. So it took out the motor and saw that one of the pinion gear teeth had broken luck I could see it from the motor hole in the gear box and could retrieve it with a magnet.
The motor it self is great but, I think the extra hard material that Systema uses for the pinion gear it to brittle. I fully plan on replacing the pinion gear so I can use this motor but for now I have a back in the gun which is a Guarder Infinite Torque-Up Magnum which I had in my MP5 that has a upgraded gear box with a M130 spring.
Question:
If anyone knows what the best pinion gear is let me know.
