"This thing is BIG!
The metal feels solid and very well-made.
It's about a pound heavy too so consider that.
I'm using it with a gbb m16 so it rings whenever I charge the handle and shoot it. It's awesome in the way a sword rings as you unsheathe it. It will make any gun look 10× more intimidating. It comes with metal rings that help adjust the flash hider. Just buy it.

"Like the other reviewer said this flash hider is a steel grey as opposed to black so get the spray paint ready if you're looking for black.

I guess I didn't pay much attention to the description when I ordered this because when I got it I was surprised by how BIG this thing is. It's a good 4-5 inches long and weighs almost a pound or more. Definitely adds a lot of weight to your gun. If you're looking for something big to balance out the weight of your back-heavy gun this is it.

The flash hider is made out of steel which is excellent for durability but with the way its shaped it makes a very loud ringing sound when it hits something. A very loud "goooooong!" would give your position away if you were to hit this. Attached to a gun it should be fine but it's fun to mess with.

A major point I didn't know about this flash hider is that the threads are recessed in about half an inch or so. If you look at the little recessed notch on the threads end of the flash hider that is where the threads start on the inside. This threw a wrench in my plans for attaching it to my PKM. You could always buy a small barrel extension and use that to fit it if you are attaching it to a gun whose threads are close to the body or front site........or you could cut it.........good luck.

Pros:
Big and beefy.
Definitely adds an aggressive look to your gun.
This will never break on you.

Cons:
HEAVY
Recessed threads (pro or con depending on your gun).
Steel grey color (if you wanted black).

While not exactly what I wanted I don't really see anything wrong with it if you know what you're going to use it for other then the weight.

"It is BIG. currently mounted on my M14. This monster does have a weight to it. I had to fabricate a bull barrel to match up the thickness to the flashhider. The look is everything. You just don't see an awsome flashhider like this on the field. The color is a shade of gray.
