Evike.com CQB Riot / Camera Crew Shield (Model: Evike.com / Cross-Arm)

"You pay 100$ for a piece of plastic, that’s the reality of this shield. Do it regret it? No, not in the slightest. This is the lightest and most durable shield you’ll find for purchase, and anything that most people can make on their own will usually end up being at least a little heavier than this. However, the size is an issue for anyone over the height of 5’5” or for those who are a bit wider than an average male in frame (but that can be fixed and will be talked about later) in my opinion.

I’ve used this shield numerous times paired with several pistols though the elite force Glock 18C is my personal favorite. So far, the experience has been mixed. On one hand it’s nice to be able to block bbs incoming and many players won’t know what to do, but many fields will have heavy restrictions on shields (which is fair) and any enemy player you play against (if you’re playing behind your shield often) will not like you and can lead to arguments, not that it’s ever happened to me (knock on wood).

For those who are above the maximum size that I mentioned earlier like myself you’ll find that the shield (if held in front of you arm at chest level) will not cover your legs what so ever. If you’ve ever played CoD or R6S, think of it like the standard shields in that game where the character must crouch if they want to cover their entire body. The taller you are, the more you have to crouch to the point where if you’re 6’0” or taller I’d say to make an extension or cut your losses and make your own shield tailored to your size. Alternatively, if you turn you body sideways while holding the shield you can minimize areas of exposure.

PROS
- Lightweight (once you get used to it/compared to a homemade shield)
- Cross Arm Model makes it easy to lower at a whim and shoot over it (with some practice)
- Durable
- Decently comfortable (once you get used to it)

CONS
- Players do not appreciate not being able to hit you
- Slightly small (for those who are larger)
- Many players have claimed to not be able to see the shield in the dark due to it’s transparent design
- Scuffs easily and needs to be wiped/washed if you don’t want scratches
- Players will aim for your legs often (obviously) which can lead to some pretty nasty welts
- Difficult to reload a pistol while holding the shield
- Price for what you get

Overall, I really like this shield despite my pros and cons being heavily mixed. I recommend a shield for anyone who doesn’t mind getting hit a lot, being the first one inside a room, and for anyone who is pretty chill about confrontation as it may arise during gameplay.

"I’m 5’11” 250lbs, it covers my head and torso well, but my legs turn into chopped cheese lol.

I dual weilded this with an M249 and played as the juggernaut on my field.

Check your field rules!!! Not all places allow shields!

I recommend this very much. Though the price might be a little exaggerated.

"Nice and light. Its perfect size. Really like the rim of the shield, it was a very good idea to help make it more sturdy without adding to much more weight. After using it for a little while and taking some high FPS shots it is still holding up. It is another great idea to add to the airsoft world.

Only qualms are that the grip is left handed, so if you wanted to switch arms after extended use...

So yeah I am more of a fan of the materials used to make the riot shield more than the shield itself...
But that is more because of how light it is, how commonly it is misused at fields for its lightness and its clearness, and that it is a RIOT SHIELD mainly to deal with THROWN things not a BALLISTIC SHIELD thats meant for actual fire.

Seriously Evike, please please tell me where you requisition these parts for your shield! If I get these materials I can start outfitting other airsofters with new and BALANCED equipment to make games not only more diverse but much more entertaining!!

"Awesome product works best with an R-Hop and ProWin hop up chamber installed, Would also recommend a motor upgrade and gear shimming. Other than that this is an awesome product. 15/10!

"This shield is great, it's a little heavy after a while but is good protection it will get scuffed if shot but a sponge will get rid of that.

May not cover larger people all the way

ITS bb repellant and is a wonderful melee weapon be prepared for a bit of hate but not a lot like maybe a come on
if you play CQB or POL-SIM this works great with a hand gun in one hand
So its really light like way more than you will believe and can be one armed and if you do it right you can stack up on it also has multiple uses door/window block, extra cover, etc. if u get if u wont regret it
Only con is not even that bad ( two handles nothing to grab arm) like said before its LIGHT it can be one handed

Works very well with a grenade launcher attachment and bipod.
