"This is not a pellet gun its a break barrel airsoft pistol using 6mm plastic bbs. The pistol is by Farsan model 1401. There is a youtube video on it. I bought this thinking it was a pellet pistol like the one by gamo. I tried using a .177 caliber pellet but it fell right through the barrel. The barrel is also not rifled its a smooth bore barrel.
But turned out its an airsoft break barrel which i actually like since i have never seen one for airsoft. Have yet to see how far it can shoot but so far i think its neat. No need for gas. I think the power plant is spring power.

"This is not an air gun that uses lead pellet (.177 caliber) as advertised. The description is not correct on the website. This is in fact an air-soft break barrel pistol that uses 6mm BB (plastic BB).
I originally bought this thinking it was a knock of the gamo break barrel air pistol that use .177 caliber lead pellets. When i try loading a .177 lead pellet it fell right through the barrel. Even the seal looked odd compared to regular .177 air pistols/rifles break barrel configuration (watch the video i reference below to see what i am talking about) I tried shooting it with a .177 caliber lead pellet and it bounced back off my foam target since it sits loose in the barrel and not even a complete seal is established at the breach. So that confirmed its not for lead pellets. The barrel is not rifled, it’s a smooth bore barrel another give away this is not for lead pellets. It might be able to shoot steel bb but i don’t have any to confirm.
I initially thought i had deformed pellets but decided to youtube the name of the pistol on the box which is Farsan 1401 for this model (short barrel). Big bang must but a distributor because the name is no where on the box. Its a Farsan.
Found a youtube video by Toronto airsoft that showed it was for plastic bb airsoft pellets. You can also type in Farsan 1401 and toronto airsomade a video on it.

I decided to keep it since it will be a first break barrel airsoft pistol i have ever seen. Not sure why no one has written a review of this who bought it, to indicate the error.
The gun is mainly plastic with a light weight decent feel to it with metal type internals. My guess is its spring power plant vs nitro gas power. The sights are meh wish they had at least a fiber optic front sight like the gamo pistol.
In the video he says the longer barrel is easier to break compared to the shorter barrel but the short barrel is not hard to break for adults kids might have some trouble but this is not meant for kids, so there you go.
Recap is this not an air pistol its an air-soft break barrel pistol that use 6mm plastic bbs not .177 caliber lead pellets.
