"These pads are as mediocre as they get, but don't get me wrong, they get the job done.

I bought these around mid March of 2015 and then used them in April for a two day airsoft event. After some fiddling and trying out some different locations and tensions, I found a sweet spot that felt pretty good on my knees (didn't wear the elbow pads, but by the looks of the elbow pads this review can be applied to both sets of pads). The play was nonstop for about 7 hours, and I only took them off to readjust them once during the mid point of the said 7 hour playtime. It was an outdoor event, full of running around and jumping in brush, so you could assume that these will stay on pretty well.

By the end of the day, they started to be a little more bothersome, as my pants had gotten more and more stretched out from the constant play. I little tug on them every little while kept them in place though.

What really made me rate this 3/5 though was their durability. After the event, I noticed that the Velcro that is stitched onto the nylon straps on the pads had already begun to separate. It didn't surprise me because these are twenty dollars and I had really put them through a stress test. From the looks of them, I think I may be able to get 2-4 more long games out of them, but after that, I think the Velcro will completely tear from the straps.

Some Ideas:
To solve the slipping, you can buy some no slip sleeves online. If you own any drop leg equip. and it has that rubbery stuff on the straps to keep from sliding, then you know what I'm talking about. I don't know the exact site but I know you can find them, and they are just little sleeves that you can put the straps through so that when you strap it all up you have a no slip surface making contacts with your pants. As for the Velcro, you would be able to make quick work of it if you are handy with a sewing machine. All It would take would be a few solid stitches around the outside and the pads would probably be back to normal. The pads themselves are actually really good quality and are comfy on the knees, so why waste perfectly good pads when just the straps are bad?

The verdict:
If you're the casual airsofter that wants a set of knee or elbow pads (or both) and you don't shy away from fixing your own stuff, after giving it a run for its money then you won't have a problem with these.

Besides, it's all about looking cool...

Right... guys?

"NOTE- I have yet to field test both sets of pads, but I have spent a few hours in them target shooting.

They are comfortable once you find your personal spot to strap them on, The velcro can agitate skin, so i recommend wearing these over pants and long sleeves. I have pretty large arms and calves, so they BARELY fit. Watch out for this. But, on the plus side, the knee pads give a noticeable "spring" to your step. They feel good.

The velcro is strong and holds on after kneeling, laying down, and getting up repeatedly. I do not recommend diving onto them though. The velcro might give, although I have not had this experience yet.

All in all, they look great, feel great after some adjustment and really protect your knees and elbows. Don't let the cheaper price fool you- this is definitely a good deal.

"You get your moneys worth with the knee pads. They work great and so far are very durable. Only minor con is that they can end up bundling behind your knees at times, and can be bothersome.
