Matrix 2.5L Hydration Bladder with Insulated Hose and Detachable Mouthpiece (Color: Black Tube)

"Pros
- Cheap
- Insulated hose, it's more for abrasion resistance rather than thermal insulation, but it's still nice to have
- I used it for airsoft, and skiing. It took falling flat on my back while skiing multiple times and didn't rupture so it's pretty tough.

Cons
- The rubber bite valve is very easy to pull off when drinking, it mostly came off when I was trying to drink, but it sometimes came off just by snagging on things even when I wasn't drinking. I lost the bite valve in a match and opted to buy a different bladder rather than get a replacement hose.


The insulation wasn't enough to keep the water in the hose from freezing while skiing in 20° F weather. If you do find yourself using it in very cold weather, try tucking it into your coat, and take small drinks very often so the water doesn't have a chance to freeze. But this is a pretty extreme environment and I didn't really expect it to work anyways so I didn't take it into account with my rating, my rating is mostly to do with the bite valve coming off very easily. Just thought I'd mention it in case someone else was buying this for it's insulated hose, hoping it will work in below freezing environments.

"It's very similar to the one my aunt was issued, however, the threads are bad and impossible to get on correctly. However, when you do, they don't leak. Just be careful not to cross-thread the cap.
