"What a great product. Very useful and made of a good quality metal. Fit my Madbull receivers with VFC gearbox. Would recommend to all left-handed AEG users. Very easy to install.

"Fits in my Krytac SPR no problem. Just like the original catch my gun came with, except with an ambidextrous release on the left side.

Package comes with a right mag release button, spring, tiny Phillips screw and of course the catch itself. Installing is as simple as installing the original catch. Now it doesn't have that same definitive click my original catch had when I insert my Amoeba mid caps, but it still clicks in place.

In the beginning there was a slight issue with pressing the left button to release the mag. Since the catch is a bit beefier than a normal AEG catch, sometimes it decides to not fall back into place after a reload. This can hinder you from pressing it again since its essentially stuck on part of the receiver's metal body. It's difficult to explain trough text but after a bit of play, the Ambi Mag release was working flawlessly. I guess it's because I applied a bit of lube to the area so metal on metal wouldn't be scratching up against each other thus causing it to get stuck.

Pros
•ambidextrous
•easy to press (both sides)
•full metal
•simple install
•sturdy
•fits in Krytac SPR
•affordable

Cons
•installation can be tedious but this goes with any m4/m16 aeg Catch
•Left button can sometimes jam depending on what Brand AEG (can be fixed)

The verdict
Get it. It's a simple affordable upgrade you can make to your rifle. It adds to the functionality of your AEG which is important even if you're righty like myself. I can see this little piece lasting me a while. Makes reloading a bit more fun than just pressing one button all the time.

5 stars without a doubt.

"I guess I'm the second guy to review this things operation in a G&P body paired with a fusion engine. Just like the other guy said, it fits perfectly, feels great no matter which hand you use and holds the mags very tight. I can't speak for the other guy, but i use Magpul PTS midcaps primarily, with some PTS highcaps. I have no feeding issues or mag securing/release issues.

Pros:
fits G&P body (as it should)
holds mags great
releases mags great from either side
quality metal build

cons:
none yet.

"I've had some issues with weak magazine catches in some of my Magpul PTS G&P AEG lowers. I ordered one of these awhile ago. I installed it in my G&P receiver, along with a retrofitted Fusion Engine. It's AWESOME. Magazine lockup is superb and the release systems fully disengage the magazine. It feels natural.

"I have this mag catch installed in an ICS M4, and I run MAG brand midcaps.

Pros:
high quality manufacturing
ambidextrous ability
good fit on an ICS M4
Inexpensive

Cons:
might need shaving on the arm that catches the mag in order to fit well
