"So, i just bought 24 shells and 2 grenades a little while ago. I've only set off 3 of them, and every single one has had no problems... 'cept one. the lower cap has an annoying tendency to pop off and go flying. so i'd recommend buying a couple extra cap sets. i think the problem is that the seam on the bottom breaks and because of that the threaded lower part of the shell gets all messed up.

Pros:
Loud as heck.
Very good for an intimidation factor, specially if no one else has grendades.
quite a solid build.
easy to set, and set off
VERY consistent 4 or so second timer.
simple maintenance and lots of spare parts.
duds are non-existent if you tighten everything up.

Cons:
Lower cap often shoots off. (sometimes not too far so you can find it, but i've lost one because of this)
costs about a buck fifty every time you set one off.... but who cares? it's a flipping grenade.

definitely recommend this awesome thing.

"These grenades are awesome! They work almost every time! They can be filled with bbs about 1/3 of the canister full to make one mean frag grenade. The only issue I had was that you have to score the sides of the canister with a knife just a bit so it blows out the sides and not the top. Overall it is a great product and I highly recommend it!

"This product is very good,
though I know that is very broad but here is the thing.
This is a better improvement from the first one.
so far every time that I have used the grenade there have been no duds, it has worked every single time but no only that the orange caps(or grey) creates a better guard so that it does not break on the bottom or the top where the threading is.
overall, great product and pretty cool to play around with also.

Pros:
tighter seal
breaking point in the center of grenade

Cons:
none

"I just got these today and I love them. I just hope I can stop playing with them before I run out of shells for them.

"it takes some getting used to, but my god is this thing fun when it goes off! Very loud, and can easily be loaded with bb's, powder, or even tobasco sauce for various effects such as shorter fuse and shrapnel (bb's) poof (powder) or tear gas effect (tobasco). Its not all fun though; I had a ton of difficulty getting it to blow correctly. If you can hear gas escaping, then you're doing it wrong. I won't go into all the little issues here, but you can find them all online on various forums if you look around. (Fortunately, all the forums also give tips on how to fix the little bugs.) All in all though, its an amazing grenade with most of its problems coming from user error or misuse. For the price that its at, you really need to get it. BUY THIS NOW!!!

"These things are amazing. The first time I came in contact with them was inside of a building. One was thrown in by the enemy and it went off around our whole team, it made everyone jump and scared the s*** out of anyone nearby or in the building. I ordered a few and these things are amazing. They work perfectly and are definitely worth every cent. They add the realism to airsoft and makes getting out of tough situations easy in mid game

"i got these today, but the weird thing is that i did not order them i ordered the generation one versions so i came out on top, thanks evike, freeeee upgrade. the thing i first noticed was the new timer caps, you neeeeeed to have them on or the grenades leak and don't burst, i wasted two doing so. the new caps really don't do much to the time of detonation, there was no manual so i am not sure. to be honest i have not even gotten to use one yet so i cannot say how good they are, but the first two were my fault so no need to discredit thunder b.

Pros:
look much better than the generation one thunder b's
that is pretty much all i can say, but can't wait to use them

"I had the expectation that it was gonna be a poof, but these are REALLY LOUD! Despite testing them out in the middle of winter they are scary loud! Don't hesitate about these, trust me they are gonna scare the heck out of someone!

Pro:
Super loud
reliable

Con:
The air chamber has a terrible habit of leaking air, this is easily remedied by some silicon glue!

"if you are thinking about buying this,.........

STOP THINKING ABOUT IT AND JUST BUY IT!!!!!!!

this is the best airsoft investment i have ever made next to my main weapon
this is so loud it scares people stiff and thats when you take your shot

"Awesome Grenade!

I had problems with the shells leaking but that's a simple fix. Wrap some Teflon pluming tape (available at any hardware store for about a dollar a role) around the threats of the shell to get a nice seal and you will never have a problem with a shell not detonating.

These things are VERY loud. Make sure everyone you play with is a aware of this and OK with it. The first time I had one detonate in front of me (about 3 feet away from my face) my ears wear ringing for a couple of minutes.

Very save design. No shrapnel or anything like that.

"Very loud. Looks great. Pretty heavy.
When the Cartridges were very warm the fuze was about 4-5 seconds.
Shell splits and short of holding it, you will be fine minus the hearing part.
I discovered there are 2 ways to detonate.

Method A) Drop the hammer all the way back and then drop spoon to hold it. Insert pin. Hammer drops with a lot of force, triggering punctured cartridge. Then pop.
Works for a spring loaded trap or loud throw.

Method B)Drop hammer with spoon DOWN to prime it just until you can insert pin. In this method which worked for 3 of my tests, the hammer drops quietly, and the spoon doesn't fly or make noise.
Perfect for quiet traps or throws.

Pros-
Bang for buck is best you can get
No water/sour tasting sugar water all over.
Looks great and feels great.
Easy to toss
Minimal to no damage to your moms carpet/floors.

Cons-
Fuze assembly is plastic-time will dictate quality.
None initially on tests. Again-time will dictate.

If you are thinking about it-just buy the grenade guts and a twelve pack.
You wont be mad about it.

"LOVE these things. We use them in WWII reenacting and they work flawlessly! They are very safe, very loud, and filled with baby powder they give that extra little realism needed for combat simulations.

We set them up with tripwires and they work excellent for perimeter defense and boobytraps!

I Strongly recommend these for any WWII reenacting tacticals that need a little more realism in them. They are appropriate looking for both American and Russian grenades of the time period, so they are safe for both Western/Eastern European fronts as well as Pacific.
