Everyone has an M4 or an M4 variant. Airsofting has become a sea of AR style rifles, an ocean of railed handguards, AR receivers and a slim selection of stocks. Break free from the sea of grey, boring rifles. Move into the 21st century and pick up a CSI XR-5 Advanced Main Battle Rifle. The XR-5 is unlike any other rifle currently on the market today. Built around the traditionally durable version 2 gearbox, the XR-5s relation to the M4 ends there. The XR-5 features a futuristic injection molded polymer body, molded with the ergonomics of the user in mind. The fire controls are similar to the favored M4 rifle ensuring that there is little learning curve when transition from your old battle rifle to the XR-5 Advanced Main Battle Rifle. To top it off the XR-5 features top, bottom and side accessory rails for mounting all 20mm accessories such as vetrical grips, weapon lights or grenade launchers.

"Well first off I like the look of this gun and it's performance was decent but that's where it ends the problem is with the o ring's the bucking and hop up if you load a mag to hard or use a mag that won't fit properly it will break the seal between the hop up and the cylinder and that o ring is paper thin and cheep as with the bucking tore a hole in it with just adjusting the hop up. If they had quality seals and a little better bucking on this it would be a pretty decent starting gun even with all the plastic. Note this gun is not meant to be taken apart easily if you want to change the seals and hop up bucking it's a lot of work overall you would be better off getting a better quality gun even though its performance is decent it will wear down quick like a few games unless you baby mag changes or hop up adjustments. So if you don't mind taking this thing down to the gearbox to fix those issues have at it. I really hope this company can fix those problems because I would like to see what else they can come up with the look of this gun is what got me and the price tag I wouldn't mind paying a little extra to have just a little bit better quality seals.
"I love this gun been using it for several games now droped it in a pond still shoots just as good as when I got it no feeding problems yet range is pretty good it has 14mm threaded outer barrel in case you want to put a silencer on it very overall extremely good gun for the price and to be honest I think its alittle under priced
"If you really like high caps. This gun is for you. Otherwise, avoid it.
The myth that this gun can take other M4 magazines well if false. Mid caps no matter the size won't fit. A high cap will fit to where it clicks but you can pull it out without pressing the release button.
Why not use the stock magazine?
Well, the stock magazines constantly causes the gun to jam. You can't fire 50-100 pellets without a jam.
Other than that. It's a good gun, with a good weight and feels durable.
Lots of battery space
Full Metal gearbox
Decent length and fps for cqb
Odd motor grip with no vents on the bottom
Won't take any other M4 magazines and barely fits the own mag it comes with in the gun
Thin wire leading to battery connecter
Magazine release is sort of hard to push
Butt stock feels odd
I wouldn't recommend the gun unless you are OK with 4 high caps on your rig.
