The EMG / SAI collaboration M&P pistol is an accurate and affordable replica weapon which closely replicates its real firearm counterpart, the Smith & Wesson M&P 9. Manufactured under license from Cybergun and Smith & Wesson, the EMG M&P 9 features full SAI / S&W trademarks. Based off of the OEM VFC pistol, the EMG M&P 9 boasts excellent performance, reliability, and consistency. Just like the real firearm this was modeled after, VFC uses a durable high impact polymer frame with heavy duty metal slide. Other features include ambidextrous slide stops/releases, a reversible mag lock to convert the pistol to be more lefty friendly, Picatinny lower rail for lights and lasers, a functional hinged trigger safety, and changeable back straps to custom fit the gun to your hands. The Smith & Wesson M&P (Military & Police) line of striker fired, polymer frame, semi-automatic pistols are the evolution of Smith & Wessons first polymer framed pistol the Sigma. The M&P design boasts a vastly improved trigger featuring a lighter pull weight and crisper trigger break. The enhanced ergonomics and replaceable backstrap allows the pistol to be custom fitted for improved comfort for most hand sizes. The pistols high grip and low bore axis greatly helps to mitigate felt recoil, allowing for greater control, and quicker follow-up shots. To better fill the pistols tactical role, the M&P line is fitted with a standard Picatinny rail for easy attachment of lights and lasers without the need for special tools.Salient Arms International further improves upon the M&P design with custom slide milling to add deeper, easier to grasp forward and rear slide serrations. Porting on the slide reduces overall weight and mass, resulting in a quicker cyclic rate. Fiber optic front and rear sights are quicker to acquire and easier to properly line up for a fast, crisp, and clear sight picture.

"Ok soo BIG NEWS
First i found a way to make gas more affordable
Second I found a way to get it out of the box Ready
The answer:... CO2 MAGS
yes there is a co2 version for this but they are not for it
i figured this out because the extra mag works for other guns that have worked with the co2 Mag\
YOU WILL SOMETIMES GET SPLIT BBS COMING OUT OF THE BARREL (easily frix by unloading and cocking back)
Soo Far using it i have not had any problems with the slide coming back.
15 rd mag (CO2)
CO2 mag is $40
jams if you use gas mag(idk how to clean the gun and did not want to break it)
Here is the address for the co2 mag: http://www.evike.com/products/64099/
"Received my EMG SAI M&P 9 a bit over a week ago and have put a little over 300 .25 bb's through it. There were no issues with the pistol during this period. Made a slight adjustment in hop-up and everything went smoothly.
The pistol is not a power house in the velocity area, around 270-280 fps. Range was good and I was hitting targets out to 90 feet with regularity. BB's that missed were still headed out to the woods. Will see how it does with .20's later. Number of shots per gas fill was adequate and will probably do better when I get a hold of some new full cans of green gas.
Nice groupings at 50 feet and at 90 feet my usual plastic gallon milk container registered hits consistently. Sights are good but the fiber optics are minimal in effectiveness (I am not a fan of fiber optics anyway). I'd be happy with white dots or even tritium inserts.
After a couple of magazines worth the shooting, the trigger became even better. Not too light and has a nice crisp let off. Reset is very good.
Fit and finish arequite good. The barrel does show wear relatively quickly but the barrel is a very flat black paint (not anodized and that should be corrected) and wear is to be expected. The slide and the frame are well done and the trades are excellent. Slide to frame is ok with very little rattle.
Changeable backstrap option is well done and effective (I use the large) and the pistol is comfortable to hold. Magazine release is very positive and magazine drops freely.
Overall, I like this pistol a lot and I put it right in the same area as the VFC PPQ which I have done a few reviews on.
My only complaint is that I was going to order another one but they have already sold out. Figures.
"I knew the second that I saw this gun, it would be mine. I fell in love with the looks and decided that thia was going to be my next pistol purchase, and it was.
Very solid quality plastic on the frame. Very lightweight frame and yet very sturdy. The trigger itself though feels to be too light weight of plastic and almost feels as if it will be the first part to break (although mine hasn't broken yet). It seems to wobble more side to side than it does back and forth, and i do love that it has the 2 piece or jointed trigger. As for the barrel it is a beautiful gold color that seems to be holding up a lot better than i would have expected it to. Same goes for the slide. One issue i have though on thw slide is the sights. The fiber optic used seems too dark or even unresponsive to light. The sights themselves appear to be heavily worn and are almost a gray color. The coloring looks very faded and worn and even has some dents and dings which i find unusual for a brand new gun but they don't really change the performance of the gun.
They seem to be very heavy duty and i do not believe there will be any major issues as of right now. I believe it uses the same internals as the standard vfc m&p9 but i could be wrong on that. The one issue I have with the internals right out of the box is the "lube" used. I use the term lube loosely on that because it is extremely thick and sticky. You would be better off using honey than the stuff that comes in it. This "lube" keeps the slide from fully cycling so it won't even pick up another bb. It won't allow the slide to cycle all the way so it won't lock back on the last shot. Have you ever touched something that soda was spilled on the day before and allowed to dry up? That is exactly what this lube feels like! It is absolutely appalling! Another issue with this "lube that comes in the box is that it is black in color and loves to get all over your beautiful gold barrel making it look filthy. And it will continue to do this until you clean it out and put propper lubrication in. So for $180 you get to tear your brand new gun apart including the trigger assembly, barrel and slide assembly, nozzle, etc. Everything must come apart to clean it out. But once you do this work then you will understand the $180 pricetag.
PERDORMANCE (once cleaned):
Cycles great, feeds great, shoots very accurately with .25's (which i personally recommend for pistols). I was not able to chrono or test it at longer range but i believe the fps advertised is correct. Once you clean it the performance you get will be worth every penny you pay.
Honestly apart from the horrible "lube" that comes in it, this gun is amazing. Worth every penny. I rate this 4/5. If you're you're wanting an out of the box, uncleaned and unmodified review i would give it 2/5. But after you clean it, this gun easily achieves 5/5. As much as i want to give this gun a perfect score, because of this out of the box "lube" being horrible and ruining the performance of thw gun i'm left with 4/5 overall. I hope that they change this in the near future but for now we're stuck with it (literally because the lube feels like a glue)
