"Ordered this based on reviews here and others I’ve found around the web about how similar this was to the JG VSR-10 and… Some good, some bad… Thought Id take a chance and see what happened.

Box showed up. I open the outer box and I immediately noticed the box said nothing about CSI. It actually had a Prima Airsoft SR-5230 sticker on the corner, so I was immediately skeptical about what was hiding behind the cardboard. Before I opened the box, I went to Prima’s website read up on their product. Found out it is a Well based product, but I had an idea since it closely resembled Well’s Bar-10/MB03 model. Not ecstatic but cautiously optimistic…

Opened the box and saw a fully assembled rifle aside from the suppressor… No tools required to assemble, just load it up and shoot if you so choose. That just isn’t me.. I pulled it out of the box and immediately noticed how cheesy the stock felt.. Thin walled plastic, moderately shiny, non-rubber coated, but remarkably heavy for how my hands perceived it.. Still thinking I wasted money on this and its about to head right back out the door. Next thing I noticed was the included manual.. Was for a Well MB10.. Yeah… not this rifle. Luckily, Prima has an online manual that works so no harm but if QC cant put the right manual in the box, how will the rifle fare? Eesh...

The rest of the stuff in the box was standard.. Magazine, speed loader, jamming rod, cheap sling, Allen keys, small bag of bbs, and the mock suppressor…
Mounted my bipod and Scope and took it outside to see how it shoots… Leaving off the suppressor, at first I had a bunch of fliers, so I cleaned the barrel and reloaded. After 2 magazines, I had it pretty zeroed at 55 yards.. Man size target 7-10 times with .25s. Not too shabby for a stock rifle.. Pleasantly surprised but not quite happy yet. Threw a few bbs out to 100 yards to see what happened and they came close but there was a significant curve to all the shots… Little disheartening, but manageable with an adjustable scope. Without the suppressor, it was kind of loud but not terrible.. Could remain in a hide for another shot or 2 but then it’s time to bug out.

Then I started testing with the suppressor. This this is completely hollow so when the bb leaves the barrel, it has to make it past the end cap without hitting it. My first shot was on target at 55 yd.. Well I think it was… I was surprised with how much quieter the suppressor made the rifle.. Really night and day.. Things are looking up! After redialing the scope a few clicks here and there, got it rezeroed at 55yd.. 9-10 with 1 going just over the target shoulder by 1 mildot.. Then I sent a few down to 100 yd and beyond. Every shot was on a rope to 100… Nice and flat seem to be packing quite a bit of energy down range. Threw a few out to about 125 and got the same result.. Straight as an arrow and easily on target. What??? A knockoff TM clone that shoots rails to 125??? Yes it is true.. I still have more testing to do but I was amazed at the distance and accuracy of this thing out of the box.. Was not expecting what it did.

Pulled the guts apart and it looks to be pretty solid. I’ll probably do the DIY mods to included solidifying the stock but everything inside seems to be pretty beefy. Not sure if the internals are VSR compatible but I plan on doing an AA hop up with a maple bucking and concave nub in the future. Im a firm believer of “fix it till it breaks” but this set up may change my tune. Upgrades will come as parts wear out. I’d give this 5 stars but the flimsiness of the stock still gets me.

Also ordered 2 of the TM VSR magazines and they fit perfectly, which may or may not mean the rest of the rifle is compatible.. Time will tell. Happy Hunting!!

If your thinking about a VSR, this may be a viable option especially since the coupon codes work with this item...

"Got this with the intent to upgrade, shot good out of the box, but not consistent enough for me. I put in an action army hopup, new bucking, stainless 6.03 barrel extended into the suppressor, angel custom zero trigger unit, stainless spring guide, and m170 spring. Took it out to a small game over the weekend and won 3/3 games. My buddy said it hits like a mac truck and i believe him from the sound of the ricochets. From what Ive seen so far all the upgrades for any marui type vsr10 will work. The suppressor is a little wonky though i had to drill the end out so the bbs didnt hit. All in all, pretty decent.

"It is a very good budget gun. I spent about $120 with shipping and my friends thoughts that I have a 6.01 precision barrel, nope it was stock. It also come with a lot of other accessories like it's own rail, swivel sling mounts, and of course it's own suppressor. However it makes my bbs shoot in random directions, this can fixed if you buy and extended inner barrel that goes throughout the length the suppressor. The magazine is compatible with a pro sniper but the magwell doesn't support any other magazine that I can find besides it's own, except with some sanding and filing of the magwell it should work just like any other VSR-10.
