"Pretty much the best tri-shot springer on the market right now. Solid internals, and a very nice realistic cold metal body (but not overly so to the point it's tiring to carry.)
- It has a hop-up. (Cheaper tri-shots don't have one at all, but this one is so powerful that you really have to use .25's and higher to fully utilize it.)
- The pump is much easier to rack compared to other shotguns, such as the Double Eagle ones, etc. It's comparable to using a much more expensive gas shotgun, without the extra cost of gas, and the extra effort of reloading gas tanks.
- My biggest issue is that it didn't have any iron sights, which might not be a problem for some. It's easy to just go on online retailers, or to a local shop and pick up some clamp-on sights. Careful though, this thing's barrel is slightly larger than a real 870's or Mossberg's.
If you want to use a shotgun that's not cheap and won't break after a few games, but don't want to drop $200 on a gas shotgun, with extra gas tanks, this is a simple pick-up-and-play shotgun that will hold it's own against more conventional guns.
"Just got this and have shot about 150 rounds through it. The accuracy is absolute crap. After ten feet the BB's will flying.upward very fast. I have to virtually aim at the ground to even get close to hitting a man size Target from 15-20 feet. Would be a good gun to poke someone with. The build is very nice and sturdy though. I have the cqb full metal adjustable stock.
"I like to start with the cons.
There is a degree of looseness in the pump grip that is concerning. You can rock it about 15-30 degrees along the action slide. I don't quite care for that and prefer my equipment to be tight and rigid, especially field gear. The folding stock on the CQB variant is also loose when locked against the barrel. It will rattle and clank during a sprint or maneuver. Once locked into place, it feels decent. It's a little long for my preference, but gives you that temporary stock for a more controlled experience. Again, I would have preferred if the locking mechanism were on both sides for additional rigidity and support, but its only on one side. Internals are mostly plastic. I expect this gun to have a short life of 6 months to a year with regular play, but for the price, it's not too disturbing.
The gun comes with three shell mags. I expected two. The action feels tight with a positive stop. Safety is also tight. The weight is good for a metal replica. Still lighter than a real steel, but heavy enough that you feel substance. So far, it feeds well and the groupings remain tight. FPS is perfect for the intended range of close and personal. You'll certainly feel it, but you won't be prying plastic out of your arm like CO2 powered guns. As a spring gun, it will remain reliable in colder temperatures. The mag release is crisp and responsive. It will prove for quick and easy reloads. This gun would make for a great CQB arena primary or a secondary for users forced to have a minimum engagement distance.
If I had to make another purchase for a CQB tri-shot, I would purchase this a second time. Maybe in the plastic version to save a few extra dollars.
