"This is my own personal experience with this gun. Keep this in mind as you read. I got this at the Black Friday sale, but I will go ahead and say my experience with this rifle isn't bad at all. The metal is nice, it takes a beating, and let me tell you, this thing is remarkably lightweight, even with the extended handguard.
Now the positives are definitely the look and feel of the rifle, and I find that while the internals don't feel like god-shaking-your-trigger-finger tier of lipo-ready AEG tech, I find them to work very well and quite reliably. Mine fires slower on automatic with a 7.4v lipo, as expected, but the trigger response is great on both modes (speaking of, the fire selector is very smooth and has a satisfying click - they actually put effort into making sure their fire selectors don't grind away at your receiver after slight use). The sound it makes when you fire is quite nice, too. The dust cover does not close, so be warned, though it does have a mock bolt to keep dust out of the hopup chamber. Finally, a useful feature you may like as I have, is the self-retaining motor grip. It has a hinged door at the bottom that opens to access your motor without carrying extra tools.
And that brings us to one of my two only complaints about the rifle - I cannot find extra smr rail pieces anywhere. My only other complaint is that I cannot be sure what internals (motors, specifically) would be most compatible for this rifle, as I tried with CYMA and JG stock and upgrade motors in an attempt to boost my rate of fire further, only for my weapon to make a whining pitch with each shot.
I got this rifle because I was looking for something new. I have bought a lot of AEGs and this one holds a big place in my heart for how truly unique it is. It isn't just a novelty item, but a solid shooter, and I recommend this rifle to anybody looking for something new to grace their inventory. Thank you again, Evike! You guys are a cut above the rest!
"So, I got this gun a while back and I gotta say, it's a very solid gun. I gave it a four star rating because when I got it, the factory shim was too tight so it wouldn't shoot. Another small flaw was that the screws holding the stock in place BROKE IN HALF. It's not that big of a problem since the stock does take a little effort to pop off without the screws anyway. I also found that not just any stick type (btw yes it only uses buffertube batteries) nimh battery will work. Also, if you're a tech, this gun is a pain in the butt to put back together once your done. The gun requires a 7.4v lipo in order for the spring to fully compress. Now the good thing about this rifle is it's really nice look. I swapped out the birdcage flash hider with one of my krytac ones and I also added an ACOG replica and it looks like a beast. Also, the internals are VERY solid as well. Once the gears were shimmed perfectly, the whole gearbox ran super smoothly. The fps is and range is very consistent as well. With an 11.1v lipo and mosfet, I was getting around 25-30 RPS STOCK. It also features a mock bolt, which is not that impressive but worth noting. However, the bolt catch doesn't actually work. It's also very accurate (had about a 5-6 inch grouping at around 100 feet). I ran this gun through a few games and I was hitting some super nutty shots. I will say that the mag it comes with doesn't feed too well but I don't use high caps anyway. I found that CAA mags or K120 midcaps feed good enough for this gun.
-good RPS with an 11.1v lipo
-decent build quality (minus the stock's screws)
-works every time I use it
-consistent shots (chrono'd around 375-380 fps with .20's)
-pre-lubed and upgraded with 8mm bearings
-good trigger response but it has a very audible reset
-Stock's screws broke in half the first time I unscrewed them
-the stock wobbles a little bit
-DOES NOT COME WITH IRON SIGHTS
-hard to find rail segments for this particular type of rail.
-the motor is the hardest thing to put back in once reassembled. (it took me around 4 hours to get it in)
Not sure if this is a pro or a con but this thing is LOUD. My friend told me that he could hear it firing all the way from his house which is about 4 or 5 houses away from me.
Hope this helped :)
"I recently got this gun during the Black Friday sale. As soon as I opened up the box I was pretty impressed, it was a very solid. Then I opened up the gun.....The hopup chamber was pretty cheap feeling metal, and the barrel wiggles around in the hopup. Instantly I changed it out with the element red double o-ring hopup. After that I got to the motor, it is the same motor you would find in a CYMA. Lastly I got to the gearbox. It had CYMA gears which aren't the best, the piston head had absolutely no air seal in the cylinder. I changed the o-ring and piston head with a Guarder steel one. The cylinder was a full cylinder??? Which makes no sense as the barrel is around a 363mm but whatever. The cylinder head was decent, steel, double o-ring seal. Next was the spring guide was plastic which is fine for m110 spring it has, but was replaced with a metal ball bearing one. The biggest thing that got me was that it had no fuse, which is a big no no. Overall don't get this unless you plan on putting some money or extra parts into it. The only reason it got 2 stars is because the body is pretty solid.
