"Let's start off on what I think about this gun, it's good IF you treat it like your first born child. It's a very fragile gun and if your like me where you hear people shooting and you leap into a nearby bush then this isn't for you. I'm currently repairing my friends lancer since he broke of the stock by tossing it around too much. When they say full metal gear box I guarantee that, the motor, and the barrel are the only things metal in this gun.
Performs decent for the price
Everything is plastic
So if you want a gun to upgrade but this one right now, but if your like a lot of people who want a toss around weapon buy a king arms or we tech.
"While working on my main rifle (My custom REC7),I needed a backup primary so I could still be able to play. With a limited budget of about $100,Lancer Tactical literally was the only option I had.I was a bit skeptical about it,but upon researching many forums regarding the quality many of those reviews have said it was a fantastic buy.I bought it,& I was pleasantly surprised. When I pick it for it's box,it weighted like a feather when compared to my REC7.Mainly the ABS externals (except the metal outer barrel I believe) contributed to the weight.I'd say the ABS can handle a beating, but I'd be wary just in case. Internal-wise it does have a metal gearbox, which is a pretty good start from a $96 dollar gun.I haven't got the chance to open it up yet,but they seem to be hold up pretty well.It would fit perfectly for a CQB rifle, which was another reason why I bought this model.Out in the field,it was pretty competitive with guns far more expensive.Running with Krytacs,VFCs,KWAs,& G&Ps out and about, this gun held up against the big dogs.
If you're a beginner looking for a starting rifle to go out & play or an old hand looking for a backup, you can't pass this rifle up.
Very lightweight & study-(You can one hand it if you really wanted to.)
Accurate-(Let my friend borrow it for a match, and he was getting people over 125ft away.)
Pretty good internals-(I don't know the exact OEM for the gearbox, but they held up well after a day with my 11.1 Lipo. Some say it's either JG or CYMA. )
Price (For the price, there isn't really much competition to beat it.)
Cons: *Not really bad,just nitpicks*
FPS-(Shoots a little hot at 405 with .20,but that's not really a big problem if you use .25 or change the spring.)
ROF (Even with my 11.1,I was only getting about 17RPS. Though it's a $96 gun,not a custom DSG build.)
Mag compatabiliy (Some mags have to be slapped in,and some would just not even hit the mag catch.)
