The S&T M40A3 is a collaboration between S&T and PDI Japan with a goal to create the highest value and performance on an Airsoft sniper rifle. Completely designed by the top designers and engineers from PDI Japan, the S&T M40A3 is equipped with stainless steel internal parts including a true stainless steel cylinder and steel sear that can withstand high power upgrades.
The M40, known for its years of service in the hands of US Marine Snipers, began its life as a modified military type-classified version of the M700 bolt action rifle. Through the years the M40 has seen various changes and upgrades to enhance its durability, reliability, as well as reduce its overall weight. Entering service in the early 2000's, the M40A3 with its lightened fiberglass stock has proven to be an incredibly robust, reliable, and accurate rifle.
The S&T M40A3 is a faithful replica of the USMC M40A3 with an internal built to dominate the Airsoft battle field. Taking the extra step, the S&T M40A3 is equipped out of the box with a PDI type internal system and 90 degree steel trigger sear. With over $150 value of upgraded internal parts already installed, this rifle is capable of operating at much higher FPS with just the change of a spring.

"First let me say...
Holy crap this gun is way good for the price and no upgrades!
I would say it's an awesome beginner gun!
Now to the review!
first let's do pros and cons starting with pro's
-Very good material
-amazing fps with the 500fps spring and 32g bbs I would suggest heaver though!
-easy to take apart and clean.
-compatible with most vsr 10 mechanics!
Okay now some cons.
-Stock is not flush with the gun, it moves up and down but that can be fixed with camo tape or just normal tape
-mags are a little big. could be pro
-hopup can get in the way of your bolt pull and push you just have to tighten them an you should be fine.
And well there you go
personally I love this gun you should defiantly buy if this is going to be your first sniper rifle!
At first It looked huge and heavy but if you use it enough you'll forget about it.
and there you go A review on the PDI Custom S&T usmc M40A3!
"Hello everybody, I am here to tell you guys all about this gun. Actually, I will give you pros and cons.
Pros: This gun is full metal except for the stock, Orange
Tip, and magazine.
This gun comes with a speed loader, a mag, a
Dejamming rod, a few manuals, and the gun with
This gun has some VSR 10 compatible parts.(I
Don't know exactly what but there is a review
That tells you)
The gun has unfathomable range and accuracy.
The packaging is nice.
The hop up is kind off weird to adjust, but once
You get it to where you want it, it's set.
The mag holds about 25-30 rounds.
Cons: The hop up is weird to adjust. All you do is
Pull the bolt back and don't push It forward,
Take out the mag, there will be 2 holes. Take the
Smallest Allen key and tighten or loosen them
Equally. (Tighten to less, loosen for more hop)
Also, out of the box, the outer barrel wobbles a
Little bit. It dint bother me, I just threw
Some electrical tape on it and it was fine.
The barrel is not threaded sadly.
Anyway, those are the pros and cons. I however did send mine back because I'm just not a sniper. I thought I was, but nah. I'm now getting the Ares AM-013.
It just was not my style. However if your a hardcore sniper on a 220 dollar budget, look no further. THX Evike.
"Howdy, I want to give you guys a high quality review of this airsoft gun. To start off I have this gun 5/5 stars not because it's perfect, but because it is extremely high value. During my test I slapped on a Leupold vx-1 3-9x40 scope (I know it's more than the gun just bear with me), and was using novritsch .46 g sniper Bb's (awesome btw).
Starting with the build quality it actually impressed me. The evike pictures are decieving in that they make the stock look cheap and shiny but in reality both the stock and the outer barrel are very ridged and has a slight fiber glass-like texture to it making it a good host for a camo job. The stock also did a good job of copying the ergonomics of the MacMillan M40a3 stock with the exception of the thumb groove on the grip is a little too shallow. And another good note is the rail is attached with 4 screws so if you are mounting a camera or a heavy optic it will support it.
Functionality wise the gun works like many other spring snipers. It uses what seems to be similar to utg l95 magazines which are cheap and relatively reliable. The hopup is located by pulling the bolt back and adjusting the two screws where the nozzle would be. My only issue with operating this gun is the bolt handle is allowed to be rotated down when it is not in battery, causing me to slam the bolt handle into the safety a few times, but stay conscious of it and it's avoidable.
Now to the performance... This gun unmodified out of the box (500 fps version) was able to get a 50% hit ratio on a man sized target at 300 ft (measured with a sig Sauer kilo 1250 range finder). Bring it in to 250 it was ~75%. And at 200 and closer it was 90-100%. Very impressive for a $200 stock sniper. Total we put about 300 .46 Bb's through the gun in the test. No doubt with a high quality barrel and hop up rubber that statistic will improve for not much more money. My only grip is the stock hop up rubber does not provide enough contact to fully engaged those .46 Bb's so if your going that route I'd recommend a prommy hard type hop up rubber.
So to sum it up this thing has awesome value for $212. I would definitely recommend the 500 fps version. It still needs to be worked on for accuracy but it shouldn't be an issue considering it uses aeg style barrels and hop up rubber. It does not compare in accuracy to a novritsch tuned gun but the range is there and can threaten a gun that costs 3-4x more. After putting another $100 into the barrel and hopup I'm going to take this to copperhead 3 this year.
Pre upgraded to handle high power mods.
Superior performance out of the box compared to similar priced guns.
Bolt rotates out of battery.
Nearly 110° bolt throw makes mounting optics low difficult.
Accuracy at extended ranges started showing the stock parts limitations (although that's just being picky).
Hop up takes eons to adjust but once it's on its on.
I totally recommend as a beginner rifle due to its out of box performance and as an advanced upgrade base due to its internal strength out of box. 5/5
