As one of Russia's most vetted pistols, the Makarov PM is a tried and true, currently manufactured sidearm that has seen over 65 years of service in some of the world's harshest climates. The PM was formed off of the Walther PP medium sized, frame-fixed barrel design for simplicity, economy, and stopping power, remaining in the front-lines of the Soviet military and police forces for decades. Throughout its history, the PM has undergone several re-designs, including the upgraded PMM model that features an ergonomic grip and increased magazine capacity over the original. Regarded as the almost "perfect" sized pistol, the Makarov PMM is a blend of effective concealment and reasonable firepower.

WE-Tech's Makarov PMM is a full metal framed, polymer ergonomic gripped gas blowback airsoft pistol with realistic disassembly and crisp action. Included with the package is a removable mock suppressor and inner barrel extension that offers improved accuracy and measurable power differences over the stock orientation. Trigger actions provide both single and double action modes while the slide boasts the integrated safety switch. The lower grip mounted magazine release and lanyard attachment loop stays true to the real thing.

"This guy has a pretty solid weight and a REALLY NICE finish, it met my expectations as far as functioning -- the safety is delightfully stiff, the slide is brisk, but there are a few downsides immediately obvious to this gun.

First of all, the magazine is incredibly difficult to remove. Maybe this is just me, and it's of course accurate to the REAL Makarov so not really an issue with the maker, but the magazine release is a lever just behind the magazine itself on the bottom of the handle that you have to push back to pull it out. Maybe if I had to pull it towards the mag so that I could make one fluid motion when pulling it out, it'd be better.

Second, the gun comes with a GLUED-IN ORANGE TIP, like most WE-Tech guns do. I know this doesn't come as a surprise for an airsoft gun in general, but since this gun COMES WITH A SILENCER this means youll have to learn how to take-apart your gun and safely remove the tip from the barrel entirely if you want to even USE THE SILENCER. Pretty tedious in my opinion. The suppressor didn't come with orange tape as shown in the images, which I consider to be a plus.

Finally, the grip. The black "polymer" grip, while seeming pretty sturdy (doesn't wiggle or anything) feels really brittle and like it might crack over time. That's just a paranoia I have, but what i CAN tell just from holding it is that its not really comfortable. Something about holding the gun just makes me want to not-hold-it, the general ergonomics of it feel off -- the groove for the thumb is probably the only thing saving it.

So the PROS of the gun, first of all, right out of the box, is the amazing finish. The silvered finish is genuine, it's smooth and doesnt seem like it'll ever come off. I like that-- sometimes when I get a new gun im afraid to handle it because it feels like the paint will wear off in my hands (which has happened in the past); this gun doesn't do that.

The gun's size and weight are really good. Like most WE-Tech guns, it weighs accurately and feels like the real thing when you hold it. The lever release is a "polymer" button right above your right thumb that allows you to snap-forward the slide, really nice

The suppressor seems really cool. I am DELIGHTED to say that the suppressor FITS ANY WETECH GUN so if you dont already have one for your other WE-Tech pistols, this suppressor is interchangable. I haven't tried the barrel (thanks for the orange tip, we-tech) so i cant speak to that, but you can watch any plethora of online reviews to see how well that works; I believe them. My barrel shipped looking exactly like theirs, is smooth and doesnt wiggle.

"I would not recommend this gun. When I first got it the mag leaked, no big deal fixed that. Then I couldn't get it to shoot all 16 rounds, OK getting bad. Now just today, whiting the first week off me owning it, it's broke. The one plastic piece that directs air from the mag to the barrel just snapped in two. Worst gun I've ever owned. Do not buy.

"I got my we Makarov in yesterday to accompany my real steel version. And so far I'm definitely liking it for the most part.

Externally- Almost everything on the airsoft is 1:1 with the real steel. The airsoft grip will fit the real steel, and it's actually slightly more comfortable! However the real grip would need a bit of filing to fit the airsoft versions but it's definitely doable. The barrels are made to spec of the real one, the real steel magazine, slide, and trigger guard all fit with the airsoft.
Cons? Not very many but there are a few. As somewhat expected with we the metal body doesn't seem to be that high of quality. Maybe time will prove me wrong, but it isn't the most impressive on first thoughts of it. the rear sight got a bit loose after just a few rounds of firing. Was remedied by a little loctite though and is no longer an issue. Also a small issue I found was that the outer barrel had a little more material on one side than the other. It's not enough to notice normally, but when you attach the suppressor you'll notice that it slightly points left. Maybe just my model, who knows. But an easy fix if you own a file. Lastly is the orange tip. It's very thin and fragile, and glued to the threads inside the barrel, which makes it a chore to remove. Tried using regular pliers and totally removed the visible part but left the plastic still inside the barrel. Was removed using a small pin point pick and was smooth sailing from there on. Also the nozzle could get caught in the barrel if you're not aware of it during disassembly.

Internally: pretty happy with it internally! Has a very loud report that I am very happy with! Without the barrel extension it chronos about 300fps on a .2 and probably 275-280 on a .25 gram, which makes it beautiful for up close and personal encounters as it's not gonna leave nasty welts on a target at less than 15 feet. The internals seem to be pretty quality for the fact it's we made. The hop up is also very effective and clicks into place with each movement. Also the safety is a functioning decocker which is faithful to the real steel. No leaks in the mag either which was pretty nice!
Cons- Have Only had two problems so far. One is a bit knit picky which is that the trigger and hammer can still function while on safety. I understand it's because locking up the trigger and hammer could cause breakage if you tried to fire while the gun was on safe since airsoft metals aren't as robust as those used in real firearms. Just a little something i noticed. The magazine doesn't hold a lot of gas, but it's enough to empty a mag and a few rounds all at once. Then again it is a small magazine so I didn't expect it to be an endless supply.

All in all, it's a sweet little shooter that I'm very pleased with. 8.5/10 stars

•very realistic and compatible with real steel.
•perfect fps for what it's made for
•internally quality is pretty middle of the road for a gbb of its price range.
    •no magazine leaks
    •hop up is effective

•needs a few minor mods out of the box
    •gas capacity isn't the best
    •orange tip is a pain
•nozzle can get damaged during disassembly if you're not cautious

    Overall 8.5/10 stars
