"The original Springer!
This gun lives up to my expectations from TM. The overall fit and finish/tolerances are very crisp, well built as with pretty much any TMs.
The trademarks are dead accurate and is probably one of the best movie props if that is what you want to use it for.
As with all TMs it is all externally a plastic gun because of Japanese manufacturing laws BUT DON'T BE IGNORANT! Just because a gun is made of polymer doesn't mean its automatically bad, most guns that claim to be all metal are almost always made with low quality, junk metal. TMs are made to a much better quality standard then just about any airsoft brand out there. TMs are made with high grade polymers, steel, zinc and aluminum and are engineered very well. All parts internally that need to be metal are metal in this gun. With proper care, this will outlast any other springer out there.
Even though this is just a springer pistol, TM still pays attention to detail and quality.
even though its a little pricey for a springer, you still will be able to be proud you own an original Tokyo Marui product that is basically the father of all modern airsoft.

"Its been a few days since I purchased this product and I have to say that I'm a little disappointed, although that could easily be my fault. With a price tag of $45.00 normally I would have expected a little more, although seeing as how I got it for $39.60 one would imagine that I would have been getting something great. My expectations when purchasing this spring pistol, considering the hype with Tokyo Marui and the price alone being well more than other manufacturers such as Ho-Feng Corp and Unicorn Hobby Corp. I was expecting something to shatter my expectations. When the gun arrived, the package was nice and heavy, so obviously I would have assumed that this would be one of the ďheavy metalĒ versions instead of just a plastic toy. Sadly, I was to be corrected by this.
Donít get me wrong, the gun holds very great faith to its real steel counterpart. The markings on the slide are clear and the Beretta insignia is embossed on the grips. Even the faux serial number on the front of the frame is impressive, although to be honest this is where I stopped being impressed. The gun has little, if any actual metal that I can see. So far itís only in the screws and spring itself, although I have not taken the gun apart to see what else was in it. As with many M9 models, the physical safety is put where the slide-release catch would be, although to actually use it you have to put some serious pressure behind it until it ďclicksĒ, otherwise it wonít move at all. The disassembling latch and the release button for it (forward of the slide release catch) has yet to move no matter how much I press on it, which leads me to believe itís for show, or Iíd need a mallet. Considering that the instructions that came with this gun donít show a disassembling method or even an exploded view, Iím not in any rush to try and force the matter.
The gun itself is fairly light. As the item description (which I conveniently missed during initial previews) states the gun is 390 grams (less than 1lb), which owes to the idea that this gun has very little metal in its construction. Granted, for some this is a must but in my frank opinion (which may differ from yours) this isnít a perk. As for ballistics, it managed to put a set of 12 rounds within 1.5 inches/ 3.81cm in a controlled environment at a distance of 15ft/ 4.57m (estimated since I have not directly measured my hallway).
My final thoughts on this review are mixed, but leaning slightly to the negative. Iím pleasantly surprised by the stamping on the gun and the fact that the actual Beretta embossment is present, although Iím less than pleased with the lightness of the gun. It fits perfectly in my hand and, dare I say itís a hair smaller than perfect comfort, but the lack of metal parts translates to lack of durability. It can pass as a 92FS Inox, but the pricing for silver-colored plastic is, in my opinion, atrocious. In the end, if youíre working on a budget or want a nice prop gun, you could swing by this gun and save yourself some money (I would assume, considering other prop guns and their manufacturers), but for my purposes I will have to say I entered with the wrong expectations.
