Developed in the 1920s, the ZB vz. 26 Light Machine gun is a gas-operated, air cooled, light weight, man portable squad support weapon. Primarily used by the Czechoslovakian military, the ZB vz. 26 design also saw service with various countries across Europe and Asia and has taken part in numerous conflicts including WW2 and the Korean War; sometimes used by both sides. Most famously, the ZB vz. 26 was adopted by Britain and then updated and redesigned into what is known as the Bren Gun.

Unlike other light machine guns of its time which were often belt fed, the ZB vz. 26 is unique in that it is a top loading magazine fed weapon. The advantage of this is that the overall weight of the gun is much lighter and the weapon was less prone to malfunctions caused by dirt and debris getting into the guns action.

The Matrix ZB vz. 26 is quite an accurate recreation of the weapon featuring a quick detach outer barrel and adjustable sights with oversized adjustment dial. The Matrix ZB vz. 26 features full metal construction which includes the receiver, barrel, sights, carry handle, and bipod along with real wood furniture including the grip, stock, and carry handle. The gun itself is a solid performer with reinforced metal internals and an impressive rate of fire right out of the box; the extra-long barrel also gives the gun quite a bit of reach and accuracy.

"I just got this gun today and i was very happy. The gun is pretty heavy when holding it up standing. I can see it being used more for stationary use. the stock was a little wobbly, and the screws were missing ion the top where the battery compartment latches on but it still works. It is extremely accurate out of the box with .25s.

Very realistic
Easy to use
Decent rate of fire

Not in Great condition when received
Too heavy to be moving around
The barrel handle sometimes can be cumbersome
Hard to look down sights with a mesh mask

Overall, I'd say only get the gun if your then type of player that is stationary. It is an excellent gun for the price and would defiantly recomend this for someone who wants to stand out on the field.

"Only had this gun for a few hours, and already I have alot to say about it.
First, its heavy. Very heavy. But in a good way. It's big, it feels pretty awesome to handle. Fires hard and fast with .2s, nothing to complain about there. Pretty much everything is metal, and whats not metal is wood that gives the gun a unique look.

Theres complaints about it too. After taking the gun out of the box and handling it for all of 15 minutes the real wood stock is cracked. I used some electrical tape to keep things from escalating and it gave the gun a mean look as well. The carry handle doesn't lock at all, which may be something that the real ZB26 did or did not do, I don't know for myself. And the magazine uses a hex key to wind. It includes a key with the magazine, and while i kind of understand this feature for preserving the look of the gun, as well as the fact that the gun feeds from the top rather than the bottom, I still feel like its worth mentioning that you will have to carry around a key to wind your magazines.

I bought my Matrix ZB-26 with Real wood stock on sale, cheaper than the imitation wood one. If you are going to buy this gun where the imitation wood is cheaper than the real wood, I would probably grab the imitation wood. Unless mine is a lemon, which judging by the build quality i am pretty sure it is not, the real wood will crack within a short frame of use.

All in all not a bad gun. Just some flaws with it that kept it from being the greatest thing since canned bread.

"For the most part, everything on this gun is excellent the only downsides are as follows:
- The wood used to make it is cheap, and may come cracked or even broken
- The piece of the stock used as the hood to the battery compartment is really poorly held on, and can fall off during use (recommend some basic jury-rigging to fix this)
- This is the ultimate deal breaker: the magazines need to be wound with a separate hex-key; meaning you need an extra piece to ensure this gun loads properly. Out of all these, this is definitely the most annoying one; although to be fair you will only really need to wind it up a maximum of 2 times after initial winding (which is really good for a 500 round hi-cap mag)
- The bipod does not clip into place, and can be bothersome when running with the gun (though given this is an MG you will mostly be crouching in place with the gun resting on the bipod anyway, so it really doesn't matter)
- Heavy (obviously)
Even with that said, I would definitely recommend this gun (especially if it is on sale, like mine was), it has an amazing ROF and a respectable FPS, is made out of a solid metal and does not wear very easily (aside from the cheap wood), and is all around a great gun guaranteed to turn some heads.
