"I mean its comfy and feels great.Looks different and has good range BUT the barrel becomes wobbly and usually falls out because the quick detach system of the barrel is flawed.I dont know if its just old gen or if current ones have the same problems. Also the blow back feels great. Its picky when it comes to mags.
"The ARX-160 Elite is an outstanding airsoft gun.
At first, the ARX-160 may appear to be a fairly typical "NATO assault rifle" with nothing too notable separating it from an M4. However, as I have started to find with many things, the greatness of this gun comes not from stand out headline features, but from the small attention to detail.
The ergonomics of this gun are excellent. While this may not seem like much, the molding of this guns furniture, pistol grip, and stock are all extremely well formed. The pistol grip is large and easy to hold, and the gun also has a bit of a built in slightly slanted fore grip, which I find far nicer to hang on to than a typical purely horizontal grip. In addition to this, the stock is slightly lower than you would find on a typical AR, which makes it easier to aim down sights while wearing a full face mask. Additionally, the ARX-160 features enough sling mounting points to satisfy almost any need, with one in the stock, two on either side of the receiver, and one at the front of the gun, for six total. Combine this with enough mounting points for an underslung grenade launcher, zoom scope, red dot, and the kitchen sink, you have quite the customizable platform.
As for the performance of the gun, I average about 400-410FPS with .20s, but most of the time I run with .25s, which still stay in the mid to high 300s. Accuracy is a strong point as well, and as far as airsoft guns go, this gun shoots very consistent, to the point where it is totally worth sighting it in. You can easily hit a person sized target at 50-75 yards, at least with .25s. It is also compatible with most M4 clips, which makes buying spares easy.
Umarex's attention to detail is also superb, I've had an opportunity to handle a real "ARX-100," (semi-auto variant of the ARX-160) and the accuracy to which Umarex recreated Beretta's craftsmanship is commendable.
One word of caution. My first ARX-160 broke within three days of receiving it, and I needed to send it back to Evike. However, Evike handled the problem admirably, and fixed my gun and had it back to me in two weeks. I have not had any problems with it in the exactly one year since then, and I have noticed no deterioration in the performance of the weapon.
As a 1 year owner of the ARX-160, I fully recommend it to anyone who wants a solid AR platform to play with.
"Ok, I got this gun in November, and have taken it to multiple games and beat it up a bit. It has held up though its abuse amazingly. This gun is also extremely ergonomic and comfortable to hold. If you're thinking about getting this gun, do it. don't settle for the competition line version, spend the extra cash and get this one.
Extremely comfortable to hold
Great quality, very authentic to the real version
Blowback, and you can disable it
GREAT accuracy for a stock gun
quick change barrel allows for easy cleaning
Huge upper rail space for optics
1 year warranty
takes M4 mags
kinda small battery space- but can still fit a 9.6 nunchuck
really small lower rail space
Iron sights are garbage
Mags are kind of a tight fit, and don't drop out (that may not be bad for most people)
