The ST-57 AEG utilizes a modified Ver.2 Gearbox with 8mm bearings and a proprietary hopup design that provides a great level of adjustment and accuracy. The full metal rail system up front provides a stable platform for tactical accessories and the tops rails are great for optics and the included flip-up sights. The gun is wired to the stock so any 9.6v Crane style / butterfly type battery will fit perfectly. All in all the ST-57 is an extremely solid, and very unique twist on a classic design.

"I graciously received this rifle as a gift in late 2015 and on arrival The lower receiver had a clear defined crack from where the rear bolt rests to the top of the lower receiver. When inspecting the rifle this crack caused both the stock to tilt to the left and make the entire rifle as a whole unwieldy. Me being my stubborn self attempted to fire the rifle and the two magazines provided failed to feed unless I applied pressure from my hand forcing a more flush connection from the hop to the mag.
Unfortunately I continued to use it and found it unwieldy to operate by the issues above. I should note the rifle did fire very well and I had no complaints with the gearbox and internals of the rifle. However I had been fed up with the p90 magazines not feeding to my expectations and with the warranty expired I attempted to replace the air nozzle converting the entire gun to use traditional m4 mags. This was my downfall and I compromised the gun entirely and I scraped it for parts.
I harbor no grudge against Echo1 and in past experiences their rifles have performed very well. I believe I simply received a dud but I do feel the rifle needs to be worked on to hold the magazine more closely to the receiver so it feeds in the first place. In conclusion the internals were top notch for the price but they do not compensate if you have to operate the rifle by constantly forcing the magazine down on the receiver becoming tiresome and uncomfortable very quickly.
"This gun shot VERY accurate but it had a couple of feeding issues especially with high cap mags. If you were to buy this gun and you were hoping for the best gun ever I would think twice before you started caring this gun heavy gun around. Also the I had to return this gun twice because 1 time the whole entire stock ripped of and the battery was not usable anymore and another time the gun just stopped shooting even when we charged the battery completely. And also the orange tip at the end of the barrel chipped off really easily so I ended up selling this gun on ebay and I got 208$ for it. And i'm only 12 so it was a bit hevy for me. (But remember this was MY gun so your gun might be different).
"I've had this gun for about four months now and it has definitely surpassed my expectations. The trigger response is crisp and the rate of fire is very respectable, all with the included battery. The accuracy and range of the gun is also very decent for a stock gun. The included battery is a 9.6v 1200mah nun-chuck style and lasts quite a while on a full charge. The two included 70 round midcaps take some breaking in but feed very well and hold 70 bbs once broken in. I also ordered some of the "Matrix P90 70 Round Midcaps" and they feed wonderfully in this gun. I also personally like the fact that the gun is a little weird but still retains decent looks and feels a little like other AR style platforms. I have been able to field this gun a couple times and even took it to a smaller milsim event where it performed spectacularly, it got fallen on, splashed with mud, smacked around a little bit and held up to all of it. All in all, this gun has made me a very proud owner and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
-rate of fire
-includes a 9.6v battery
-includes 2 midcap magazines
-includes front and rear metal iron sights
-lots of rail space for accessories
-easily maneuverable due to its length
-not a lot of space for an optic
-upper receiver has a little wobble (easily fixed with some electrical tape on the tabs towards the back of the upper receiver)
-does take some time to get used to reloading (reloading is very easy once you have some practice)
-a little on the heavy side (not necessarily a con, just something to note)
