FN Herstal Five-seveN FN-57 Airsoft CO2 Gas Blowback Pistol by Marushin / Japan

The FN-57 by Marushin is a faithful replica of the real steel counterpart by FN herstal with amazing performance, to-scale construction and true-to-original construction. Perfect for the gamers, collectors and everything Airsoft!
The FN Five-seven, trademarked as the Five-seveN, is a semi-automatic pistol designed and manufactured by FN Herstal in Belgium. The pistol is named for its 5.7-mm (.224 in) bullet diameter, and the trademark capitalization style is intended to emphasize the manufacturer's initials.
The Five-seven pistol was developed in conjunction with the FN P90 personal defense weapon and the FN 5.728mm cartridge. The P90 was introduced in 1990, and the Five-seven was introduced in 1998 as a pistol using the same 5.728mm ammunition. Developed as a companion pistol to the P90, the Five-seven shares many of its design features: it is a lightweight polymer-based weapon with a large magazine capacity, ambidextrous controls, low recoil, and the ability to penetrate body armor when using certain cartridge types.
The Five-seven is currently in service with military and police forces in over 40 nations, including Canada, France, Greece, India, Poland, Spain, and the United States. In the United States, the Five-seven is in use with numerous law enforcement agencies, including the U.S. Secret Service. In the years since the pistol's introduction to the civilian market in the United States, it has also become increasingly popular with civilian shooters.

"This gun is great, for about a year or so, for my first gbb pistol, I was very pleased with how the gun performed, even though the rear sight fell off within the first month of month of use. aside from that, up until recently, the Five Seven, began to fall apart right in front of me, first, the feed nozzle would not return when putting a bb into the chamber, and there is no clear way to fix it, with time, the little piece that holds the return spring onto the outer barrel has fallen off and now the hammer will not even lock back, however, the overall worst thing about the Marushin five seven, is the fact that there are little to no parts for this gun.
I want to like this gun and it had a fair run of about a year or two, however when the gun begins to rapidly fall apart, that is where a line has to be drawn

In conclusion, the marushin five seven is a gun that is defiantly not worth the price but overall ok, not built to last over 2 years though.

    Pros:

true to the real five seven

    fairly accurate

    looks great

    nice short trigger pull

    Cons:

    not built to last

    no parts to buy

    hoppup locks

    rear sight falls out

"The replica feels solid in your hand and has a nice trigger response. The blowback has a medium kick and is overall very satisfying to fire.

One of the main issues I've run into is that, as the replica is plastic, the slide lock is plastic as well. I've run into an issue where the slide lock bends slightly and won't lock the slide. This is a common issue apparently and someone has gone ahead and designed a stainless steel slide lock replacement. It is 8 USD on shapeways and I'm expecting to receive that sometime mid-June.

Overall I'm pretty satisfied with it outside of the slide lock issue. Because of that, I really do wish that another company would come along and release their own variant. Unless something else happens down the line, I think I'll be using this for awhile

"Let me start off by saying this IS my first GBB Pistol, so the review is a little biased by excitement. But I received it about a week ago and have put it through rigorous testing. So far I have not been disappointed. It shoots great, feels nice, and sounds mean. The gun is a bit on the large side, comparable to the size of a 1911 in length. Don't worry though, with a slight bit of force it will fit in standard nylon fiber holsters. It's a lightweight pistol, and is a full polymer construction. But it feels durable, not like some cheap UKArms pistol that will explode if you breathe on it. I bought this over any other pistol because I wanted a unique gun that operated on CO2, because I absolutely hate green gas. It definitely seems like a good gun so far, and I put about 2,000 BBs through it already. I own one spare mag, and will say the mags are about twice the weight of the gun. I will update this or post another review if something goes wrong that I believe is not my fault. From the one star reviews I see, I think they got lemons, because mine has been great so far.

    PROS:
    It's an FN Five seveN
    Good ammo capacity
    CO2
    Light, but sturdy
    Reasonable sized rail on bottom
    Balanced weight when loaded
    Intimidating look
    Gas efficient

    CONS:
    Expensive mags
Pretty much need .25 and above for any accuracy
Replacement parts not carried by Evike

I rate this a 9.5/10, and would definitely trust this pistol to accompany me in any game, field or CQB. Only time will tell if that was a good choice or not.
