"This mosfet is just as good as they say it is. I've heard that people have had trouble installing it, as well as having to rewire(which is no big deal), but personally I didn't have to mod or rewire anything. I put the ascu into a stock King Arms version 3 gear box and the FET, control unit, cutoff lever, and selector plate fit like a charm. I was lucky enough to not have to rewire. The wires that go to the motor are always the same on a version 3, but the end that goes to the battery can differ, so you may have to rewire if your gun is not front or "top" wired. If you want to use the ascu with a version 3 gearbox gun that isn't a g36 or ak/ak variant, you won't be able to use the selector plates, which means that you will have to stay on semi or full auto(you won't be able to change between the two unless you take out the gearbox). I am running this in a King Arms VSS Vintorez, and I haven't had any problems yet. Because the VSS does not use a selector plate, I can't switch to full auto, but thats fine for me because I am using it as a dmr and full auto is not allowed for the fps I'm shooting at. Overall, I'd say this is definetly a good purchase to make your version 3 aeg a beast.

"Installation was as easy as any mosfet out there. Installed it into a Classic Army Krebs KC-89.
Took it to a skirmish game, on the (19 of July), (recived on the 8th). For the first hour of play. Ran beautifly on a 13:1 gears giving a VERY quick 3 round burst.
After that. Started to shoot either 3 round, semi, or 2 round bursts.... Opened it up (gun, 7/26) to see if the supplied cutt-off lever was worn (it was). Re-installed the stock 18:1 gears. Took it outside to test fire. The Fet Fried. There was no contact issues, or crossed wiring. the mosfet Failed. a $100 Mosfet failed not more then 2 days worth of use.
Had a Gen 2 V2 Fet last 3 years before.......... Going to be looking for a Refund or replacement product come Monday./
"Installation was easy on my Echo1 OCW. Minor annoyance was rerouting the wires since the wire layout was set for a top/front wired gearbox. Very minor modification on the trigger board to make it fit inside an aftermarket gearbox. Trigger response is beautiful on a 9.6 and a 7.4 battery. Will definitely buy again.
