"Nozzle is totally fine. But the metal guards that came with it don't seem to be the best. One fits in the bolt carrier no problem. The other barely fits and causes the bolt carrier to not slide as smoothly as it should. A little sand paper should fix the issue.
"I'd like to update my review. I had the NPAS adjusted to nearly minimum which was causing the gun to cycle poorly, making the nozzle lock up. I'll need to get a new o-ring because mine was chopped in half in a bad cycle, but after grinding down the nozzle guide stoppers to actually fit inside the PDW bolt the gun cycles perfectly and is shooting 200+ feet. Measured with a .28G BB, NPAS on maximum flow, it's shooting 351FPS or 1.6 joules. That's over 400FPS with a .2G BB!
So, if you do buy this nozzle, I must say it is very worth it. Just keep in mind you will have to grind down the nozzle guides by a fraction of a millimeter to get them to fit into the bolt. Also, make sure your NPAS valve isn't too low. You'll know it's low if the gun doesn't cycle completely.
It's worth the money because it's aluminum and should last forever, and I'm getting very reliable consistency, more so than with the plastic nozzle.
"Perhaps I got a "faulty" item, but this thing is garbage. Initially the unit looks fantastic and it should pretty much plug an play and you're good to go. You can install the unit in the bolt with relative ease. On mine the side metal rail guides they provide protruded too much, therefore the bolt wouldn't freely slide in the gun. No problem, use the stock plastic parts. Loaded up a mag, fire it, and it seems fine. After the first, even second shot, the gun begins to "lock up" and won't fire properly.
You can tell the bolt doesn't fully travel on recoil now, sometimes not at all. You can pull the bolt back slowly to see the whole nozzle "stuck" in the hopup. I initially thought the BB feeder nob was too fat and getting stuck in between two towers on the magazine. I dremeled the feeder nob, still jams. Now it seems to be the lower arc of the feeder nob, where the next BB to be fed by the magazine is held down by the nozzle. I dremeled that to the best of my ability but it just doesn't like to slide out of there. I think the nozzel isn't to the Exact spec of the stock plastic nozzle, perhaps just a little bit larger in certain areas.
So maybe I have a faulty one, who knows. But I'm upset I spent X amount of money for this, and my gun is still down.
