"From military and RS experience I would highly recommend this gun, now there are other options out there such as the BOLT and the TM that both has hard kicking recoils but as an American consumer POV I highly recommend this gun.
This gun is solid and heavy the way a real AR weighs due to the beefy external, the muzzle break on this had a set screw so it made it easy to properly align to look how it is suppose to. Outer barrel is thick and I love it, since most airsoft guns comes from the factory with a "pencil" profile barrel I usually stray away from AEG m4s but this gun I can literally jump into a window an land on it without worries. The inner diameter of the barrel is snug and I do believe that this is the reason for its accuracy, Some barrel may not fit into the outer barrel but for those that do it increases the rigidity of the barrel to prevent vibration that can hinders the performance of the precision barrels (I use the madbull 6.03x300mm inner barrel and have had inconsistency problem with it in other aeg that did not sit snug but it is a different story for the RM4). I am a fan of Magpul since I began building ARs and it is nice to see a package this nice for the price. Some of the other reviews had a problem with the bolt catch and looks at it as a con but I see it as a pro, with RS experience I can tell you that the AR platform is not free of its problem especially if you are using USMC standard issued rifles and the crappy stanag mags, the bolt lock "problem" (to me) is just another bonus to the realism since It gives me a weapon malfunction that does happens in real life like a 2x feed or failure to extract and for those of us who purchased this gun did so for as much realism as possible without the drawback of the gbbr system.
I also came into the problem of the gun only shooting at 300fps with .2 ammo instead of the 330-350 advertised, but since this does have a QSC system you can quickly swap out the spring for a better one.
This gun also comes with a ball bearing spring guide so you don't have to worry as much about stress on the gearbox (but make sure you fire your gun in semi a few times to let it fully cycle and decompress the spring before storing it)
The hop up is what the krytac is based on so they are great, there are cases of people claiming the hop up wont work with bbs higher than .25 but that's because of the stock rubber nub is hollow so it gets compressed when heavy hop is applied but if you fill it with apoxi or anything to prevent the compression then you can most certainly properly hop above .25 (after filling the hole I only needed to dial it up 1 click to get it good for .25 and traveled the whole length of tac city fullerton's east wall from the staging area)
The only real cons I have about this gun is the wiring, it is wired to the front so the biggest battery I can fit is a 11.1 20c nunchuck battery. BUT, I have contacted kwa and they are in the progress of getting the a1's new buffer tube design in so people can make that conversion.
Lastly, the only things I would recommend doing to upgrade this is to remove the stock fuse completely, either a tbb that is 300mm or less if you are not running a surpressor but if you are running a surpressor then use one with the hole at the end that sit snug with the inner barrel to preserve the rigidity, swap to deans connector, 2x oring cylinder head, sorbo pads or rubber washer, correct aoe, polish gearbox, reshim (if needed), and a basic mosfet for the semi games. This gun does not seem to be a good base to build as a dsg since the ERG system will putting more stress on the internals and if you wanted this gun then you didn't care for the 30+ rof. "I have owned this rifle for just over a year now. I have customized this rifle PLENTY. 3 different rails. 2 different stocks. Different flashlights, optics, muzzles, mock suppressors, inner/outer barrels, even buckings. I'm JUST NOW getting it upgraded internally. There has been over 150,000 rounds fired through it, semi-auto only, with a 11.1V(Deans) 1400mah 20c LiPo. There has been ZERO, and I do mean ZERO hick-ups. I haven't had a single issue with this rifle from the moment I first got it, through all the upgrades and dirt and rivers, sand and rocks. This thing is a solid machine. There's simply no better rifle than this when it comes to MILSIM or training. Even with a 11.V 20c 1400mah LiPo battery, I'm able to fire off well over 25 magazines before I even think about my battery running low.
Honestly, I got rid of the simulation magazine it came with, but the recoil and kick makes me love this rifle every time I show it off or shoot it at an enemy player. You simply CAN'T BEAT THIS RIFLE!
-Front wired (My ONLY issue with the rifle at all, which now the new one comes rear wired!) "Great gun! It is great for CQB with good FPS. I was shocked by the accuracy of this gun. The only problem was the bolt catch but is fixed easily. I would use KWA K120 mags or the ERG mags. I added a PTS Centurion arms 9.5 inch rail which fits perfectly. I converted it to deans and added a G&P Battery box with a lipo in it.
Full metal receiver, good weight
Feeds well with included mag and with K120's
Amazing gun and would highly recomend Read More Reviews Write a Review
