"Why is everyone saying it has a high rate of fire. This is probably the gun with the slowest rate of fire right out of the box for it's price. If you are looking for a good aeg do not get this one try one of the Raiders from G&G Raider series thoughs are good.

"This was a disappointment. Lets face it, guns under 200$, you can't expect much (unless it's side arms). Usually the only good primary field rifle under 200 are sniper rifles. AEG's under 200 are known to have a max effective range of maybe 100-150 feet. Same goes with this gun. Effectively you can fire 100-150 feet. With hop up yes this can reach 200 feet, maybe even 250 feet, but past 150 feet you are basically lobbing a 10 foot or wider grouping at them. So you're lucky if 1 in 50 rnds hit the target.

When I got this gun I planned to have it converted to a polarstar. Long story short a lot of the "pro polorstar techs" refuse to do tavors because they are a pain to set up due to the custom gearbox. They will however do the new Wolverine xlt.

My biggest issue with this is that it's not close to real steel. I ordered a custom aircraft aluminum hand guard, made for the real steel tar-21, and it doesn't fit. The fitting on this rifle is too wide, too short, and the screws it would set into, are actually fake screws. So i'm trying to find someone local that has the Ares version, to see if it would fit on that one.

Internally this thing is a nightmare for upgrades. Even the simplest of upgrades (inner barrel, motor, hop up) are a pain to get to. Each and all basically include taking majority of the gun apart, including a good bit of the gearbox. There is no "cheap and simple" upgrades in this gun. it's not like an M4 that you can just switch a barrel out in 3 minutes, a motor in 3, a hop up in 5. Each will take considerably longer.

Also I use KWA pmags. I used to use them on m416 and had to cut a little bit off the front of them to fit. They fit into this magwell, but slip out. While i'm wondering if maybe the part I cut out is what's making it slip it, i'm pretty sure the part that the mag clip hits isn't tall enough. So be aware this might not work with many M4 mags.

Honestly if you are just starting airsoft and looking for a cheap starter gun, I would recommend heading towards a M4. I used to love m4's, now I hate them considering everyone and their grandma has an M4 or M4 variant, but they are the most straight forward to upgrade, cheapest to upgrade, and have the most variety of upgrades.

I would only recommend this gun in CQB environments. Field, a good player that knows how to sneak, stalk, and choose his shots carefully, can still make kills with this, but otherwise, spend more for a better rifle, or get a sniper rifle.

"So far this is a wonderful gun. a tad bit backheavy, but that is to be expected from a bullpup. Fun to shoot so far, still tweaking the hop a bit. The only problem I have run into so far is that the gun doesnt seem to want to take magazines other than the one it came with (the mag lock wont lock properly with echo 1 M4 mags). High ROF with a 9.6, but you get an electrical smell from the stock when you fire. havent skirmished with it yet, will most likely be an awesome skirmish gun.

Good weight
Nice solid composite body
The metal is solid
High ROF
looks crazy
near perfect match to the real weapon

Wont seem to take echo M4 mags
Electrical smell after short periods of firing
its "that gun" from call of duty.

So all around awesome, Good looking gun, unfortunately they put it into a modern warfare game so now its just "that gun from MWF2". still a very nice gun.
