"Got this gun a little about a month ago. It came covered in what I believe is dog hair.... or this gun was on display and they are the bristles of a bad duster... Either way, I'm confused and annoyed beyond reason...
Well internally this gun is quite beautiful.
And it shoots hard (sorry I don't own a chrono)
However I would still recommend an a new cylinder and longer inner barrel... the inner barrel does not span the entire length of the outer barrel. It messes with the back spin of the BB, thus the accuracy, and annoys the hell out of me.
Id say use .23g BBs. It seems to be good balance for this gun.
A REAPS bucking would help too. (Yes REAPS actual work. I have a 80 degree REAPS in my P90, and my P90 can shoot a little further than this M14 without and hop up arching...)
Aesthetically this thing is beautiful and screams badassness.
But the plastic of the body itself could have been better. I believe it's a high density ABS (we use to build robotics parts in school) it's strong stuff but it's still a "noisy" material. This gun creaks so much you can here someone walking with it from a mile away... Most of the creaks comes from the mounting around the receiver's magwell and the barrel/gas tube guide. And the fact that thing weights a ton doesn't help the creaking...
Overall this gun is good. In my opinion, you could just build a better/equal M14 from parts found on Evike... Just externals from from Matrix/CYMA, G&P internals,p and whatever inner barrel you want, etc....
But if it's any testament to this gun or review, my P90 that I slapped together from an old Echo 1, Classic Army, and a couple new parts (altogether it cost less than $200) still out performs this M14 range, accuracy, and power....... So yeas..... "It is a rather solid gun, although I have found that a few parts are very wobly and not too sturdy. The performance of this gun makes up for some of the poor cosmetics of it. i have yet to find a better m14 or better dmr for the price.
I've had this gun for a little over a year now and it has yet to give me any major problems. Things I would recomend for this gun are: another battery, weaver rail, bipod, and a few small rails to screw into the gun.
I would highly recomend this gun to anybody really. while it is a little on the heavy and at that a little front heavy, this gun is just a master piece. if you are looking to buy it I can tell you it is 100% worth the price. There is no better dmr for around the same price. "Very solid shooting aeg, accurate at 150+feet, mags fit very well, great hopup chamber. I would definitely recommend this gun to anyone who's looking for a good assault / DMR build. The only con that I have with this gun is that its a little on the heavy side, but don't let it discourage you the performance and quality of this AEG will not dissapoint Read More Reviews Write a Review
