"My story is similar to Jasonís. I had a plastic HFC M190, and I messed up the slide using it as a prop for movies. Fast forward, Iím into airsoft now and I wanted to get my Beretta back in action as a backup for my 1911. After some looking, I came upon this. It looks great, and once I fitted it to my pistol, it works great too. I have yet to chrono it, but it kicks like a mule, and has great range. The only real modification that I needed to make was on the hopup unit.
The new slide has small Ďbumpsí on the slide component of the hopup unit that slides into the handle assembly. It was a simple matter of filing these flush with the rail. Itís tough to explain in words without pictures, but itís obvious what to do once you look at it. All in all, itís a complete, drop in, unit that takes your plastic M190 to another level of quality.
"This slide is very good it has a great fit and finish, as stated by others if you are installing this on anything other than a WE M9 you will need to do some modification or parts swapping for proper fit and function. I installed this on a plastic body HFC M190 and was worried that being a standard slide i wouldnt have the full auto capability but it has the three position safety so with the proper safety parts it can function as a select fire. The barrel that came with mine was a WE 6.03 diam. inner barrel. The slide cycles smoothly and crisply with a nice solid feel. The dual tone looks very good and the black on the slide matches almost perfectly with the plastic on my HFC's frame.
Overall if your looking for a metal slide for a plastic M9 this is perfect even with the minor modifications i had to do its well worth the money.
"This item is particularly good in price and what it is. This is a aluminum slide and has plastic internals and some metal ones only where they are needed i have a samurai edge that was broken and i took the barrel out of it and as far as i can tell this one doesn't have a tight bore its brass nothing fancy but it will do the job well.
