VFC has really gone above and beyond in recreating what most would argue to be the best and most accurate SCAR in the airsoft industry. The upper receiver is expertly CNC machined out of a single block of high strength aluminum for exceptional durability and also features fully licensed trademarks that are beautifully laser etched into the receiver for authenticity. The controls of the rifle accurately mimics the real thing with ambi selectors, ambi magazine release, and reversible charging handle with functional bolt stop that will lock the bolt to the rear for easy access to hop-up controls. The collapsible/foldable stock features a 6 position length of pull and a 2 position cheek riser. Attention to detail has not been spared in this recreation of the rifle.
The internals feature reinforced high performance parts to ensure uncompromised reliability and performance out of the box. VFCs full metal version 2 reinforced gearboxes come standard with CNC steel gears and their spring auto-shim system that reduces the need to shim the gearbox to achieve optimum performance. The upgraded spring guide, light weight polycarbonate piston and airtight cylinder allow the gun to stand out as a solid contender amongst the best that airsoft has to offer.About the FN SCAR:
The Special Operation Forces Combat Assault Rifle (SCAR) was developed by Belgian arms manufacturer FN Herstal (FNH) as a reliable, low maintenance, modular combat rifle for the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) to replace the tried and true M4A1 carbine used by Special Forces units across various branches of the US Military.
The FN SCAR features ambidextrous controls such as an ambi selector and mag release as well as a reversible charging handle allowing the operator to configure the rifle to their preference. The CNC one piece upper receiver features an uninterrupted Picatinny top rail with two removable side rails and a bottom rail to mount any MIL-STD-1913/Picatinny accessories. The high strength polymer lower receiver helps cut down on the over-all weight of the rifle while still maintaining most of the controls of the already familiar M4/M16 system. The telescoping, folding stock allows the rifle to be fully adjustable for length of pull to accommodate any operator. With the stock folded, the SCAR offers a significantly lower profile than even the M4A1 allowing for easy storage and transportation.

"Very good gun overall.
I've had it for little under a week now so I guess it's time to just list some pros and cons:
-Thing is built like a tank, VFC is known for their amazing externals and this gun is no exception, don't let the polymer lower fool you, the polymer reminds me somewhat of the material of Magpul products.
-This thing has some heft to it and you can tell the build quality just by the weight, this can be a con for others but this is not a problem for me, if you're a smaller dude I could see where this would be a problem for you.
-This thing is filled to the brim with features, just like its real steel counterpart:
-The stock had so much adjustability (this makes it one of my all time favorite rifle stocks), adjustable check riser, telescoping stock with six positions, and it folds.
-The bolt locks back when pull to adjust your hopup without any hassle and makes the most satisfying sound ever when released with the bolt release.
-Ambidextrous fire selector, magazine catch, and charging handle.
-Performance, while I agree this rifle's stock internals are nowhere near the quality of stock internals of let's say a Krytac, they will get the job done until you're ready to upgrade.
-Probably the biggest con for me is the wiring, the stock wiring is honestly poop.
-Doesn't come with a midcap. Yes, I know just about every stock gun comes with a highcap, but there is no reason to have it shipped with a highcap over a midcap when no one uses highcaps. I think we should end highcaps all together except of course for LMGs etc., probably the only reason they still send guns with highcaps is just to make the customer spend extra $ on midcaps. This is just my opinion so it may not matter to you or even be a pro.
-Stock pin part can come loose easily. There's this very tiny part that keeps the actual pin keeping the buttplate on in the the stock, if this falls out then your pin can come all the way out of the stock. Personally my pin stays just fine in the stock without the part and it actually makes the removal of the buttplate easier for me but again, this can be a con for others.
Overall this fun is fantastic, the externals blow me away bit even though the internals will get the job done until you're ready to upgrade, I think they could be a little better. Personally I'm just going to run this thing until the internals break and then PolarStar it. I give it a 4/5, for some minor cons.
"This replica is very aesthetically pleasing to look at and has the iconic shape to signify that you are a scar owner. The platform is solid no rattling noises.
VFC is known for the externals of the gun and this doesn't disappoint. Very well made and balanced pew pew stick. The gun is noticeably light weight for .308 replica. It has trades on the replica system, although I don't care for them they do look nice and compliments the overall flow of the system. The traditional motor grip is comfortable and is slimmer than other stock grips on the market. Selector has a positive click to know that you’re ready to go. The only external gripe I have is that I don't like on the replica is the stock, granted it has lasted a while I wouldn't put too much stress on it though. The bolt catch does work and it is the sound of divine intervention to hear it rack.
The internals are trash, to be straight with you all. For full price this gun is not competitive or durable. The self-shimming gears sounds like a good idea but it was not well thought out. I have less than 5k rounds and I am seeing metal shaving inside the external shell of the gun and it is from the gears. The hop up system is the worst hop up ever used by far. Doesn't hold adjustment the hop up arm misses the barrel window with the hop up nub. The result of this is poor range which makes this pew pew stick a $380 paper weight. Not all the internal parts are trash, the trigger, compression parts, motor and wiring are nice. The compression holds up well for stock parts. Motor gives it a snappy feel with good trigger response. Speaking of trigger, most comfortable trigger and smooth motion. But the gears and hop up to this gun is really a glaring weakness to this iteration for this replica.
Great gun to look at and admire from a far; that's all you will get unless you put time, money and effort in this pew pew stick to make it competitive. Gears will need to be replace and a huge overhaul on the hop up unit must be done to be able to play competitively. Gears can be replace and shim them the normal way. There is not simple fix for the hop up unit though you can't replace it since it is proprietary and metal one they sell on here is junk. You can get this to shoot well but it will take time to do so: good barrel, bucking, rhop, m nub, and modifying hop up unit. I spent over 14 hours just with the barrel assembly to make it shoot amazing. I love my scar but I say all these things because this will be a project gun not a good stock gun. I would not recommend this gun to a novice or someone that is not tech savvy. I hope this helps
Great build quality
Oddly comfortable trigger
Hop up unit
Price tag for a project gun
"This gun is absolute beast! VFC truly knows how to make excellent high quality AEG's.
