"Fits great and looks great on my Real Sword Svd, but the scope won't zero in properly. I twisted the knob as far as it could go to make the cross hair go left but it won't adjust far enough to be lined up correctly.

"I really hate to say this, but this scope, from a functionality point of view, is not what I expected...

I bought this for my Echo 1 CSR and once I first opened it, I loved it! It looks really cool, the reticle looks good, it has a clear view, and it makes my svd look 100000000 times cooler. For me it was relatively easy to install correctly using a small mallet.

That's really the only good thing about this scope. I bought it with the intention of using it on my svd in airsoft games as a dmr with the correct looking scope. And there is a HUGE letdown to this. The elevation and wind age adjustment knobs are near non functioning at all. I've literally turned the wind age knob to its limit and it still shoots in the near same spot. The only way to sight the gun is to hop the bb so it flies into your reticle, which is ridiculous as you aren't taking the most out of your gun's accuracy, and the target must be standing at x distance it was hop sighted for the weapon to be accurate. The bbs only fly straight offsetted FAR to the right from the reticle, which is extremely annoying when trying to aquire targets at long distances. And it really takes away from the great accuracy and range of the weapon itself.

Overall, it really is a dice roll. Some of these from the factory I've heard are rather nice, a higher number it seems come non functioning better or worse than mine did.

Is it worth it? Depends what you are using this for. If you are looking for a cheaper placeholder of a PSO-1 scope to look cool on an airsoft AK/SVD rifle this is for you. If you wanted to buy this and put it on an AK or VSS aeg it would definitely be more useful for spraying lots of bbs farther down range while looking cool.

However, if you want to buy this with the intention of use as a diehard, replica scope for a high end upgraded airsoft SVD rifle being used as a precision squad sniper, you really may want to look elsewhere. It just isn't worth it. Rather than spending the money and risking getting several defective ones before you get a decent one, your honestly much better off getting your money's worth and just buying a real PSO-1 scope that you'll know will work. Or a better replica such as the G&P version if it is available. This scope is by no means real steel grade and it is purely no more functional than a prop. Not even worth 100$. Not even 90$.

4/5 for looks

1/5 for performance on the rifle

"Well, I'm not gonna pull any punches on this. I hate to have to run this thing down, but it is what it is and I wish I had done more research before I bought two of them, one for me and one for my son. It looks great, but it is not a useable scope. If you want it as a decoration to make your SVD look all Dragunov-y while it hangs on the wall, well that would be a good use for it.

First of all, it puts a huge gouge in your top dust cover. I was focusing on the rails while I was putting it on and did not notice that the light bulb housing was gouging my top cover all the way on. This is part of the reason it was hard to put on. I had to get a new dust cover for my WE SVD because of it.

Secondly, and most importantly the reticle CANNOT be adjusted. The windage and elevation turrets are completely non-functional. They click. That's all they do. This more than anything makes it useless. You cannot sight it in. Utterly worthless unless you like to use hold-off for every single shot. It is a low power telescope with a 1000m illuminated SVD reticle inserted. Also, the wires are pretty loose and will need some attention to avoid intermittent illumination problems.

I finally just followed the advice of others I had seen on youtube who recommended obtaining a real PSO or POSP scope. Wow, what a difference! There is no substitute for the real deal. This concludes my review/rant. Good luck, and be careful out there.

*This is a real steel grade scope with a very tight fit. As most of you may be buying it to install on your SVD that costs just about the same as this rifle, install slowly with rubber hammer (not metal hammer) to avoid breaking / damaging your SVD. Just a reminder from our technician and service department to 'be patient".
