The Matrix AIM M4 Carbine features a steel convertible outer barrel for quick barrel attachments and the award Matrix 8mm gearbox. This rifle is manufactured in Taiwan in Matrix's very own factory, featuring clean and detailed exterior finish and superb internal gearbox quality control.

Review:
Initial Look & Feel:
Solid, durable and realistic. Everything you'd expect for great value. Matte black finish. 1:1 scale to a real steel M4 Carbine. Nice logo. Expect more and spoil yourself today.

Performance:
Air Seal: The Matrix M4 shoots an average of 30~50 FPS higher than most other brands with the same spring installed. Which means it has superb air seal and energy efficient. Less work on the Motor and Gear only means a more durable AEG.
Accuracy: With 6.04mm tight bore barrel already installed, it is also much more accurate than any other M4 AEG under $120.
Reliability: This AEG is completed with all Matrix parts directly from Matrix's Taiwan factory, resulting the best factory direct value per dollar sportsline rifle in the market. The firing is smooth and the rate of fire is great with good accuracy and range.

Stress Test:
Upon receiving the first batch, our technician fired 10,000 rounds (35 m4 hicap / 11.1V 1350mah Lipoly battery) on randomly selected five Matrix Tactical Systems M4 and the result was amazing. Each gun test was completed within 1 hour to really "stress test" these AEG. After the first 5000 round within the hour, the motor starts to get warm, and gets pretty hot by the 35th hi-cap. One anti-reversal latch broke during the stress test. To those that the above statements makes any sense to, this AEG is more durable and stable than most we have seen. It is more "Lipoly Ready" than any AEG out there, however, we still recommend only experienced gamers to use li-poly, as the gaming advantage comes with responsibilities.

Got his rifle for a week, and am generally satisfied with it. As a beginner's gun it is very adequate for the price.

Pros:
No handguard or stock wobble
ABS plastic receiver does not flex
Decent FPS for starter gun

Cons:
When I received it the wiring from the trigger to the battery in the handguard passed through the magazine well. I had to remove the upper receiver and re-position the wires so my magazines could slide in and out smoothly
The front wired configuration makes adding a RIS/RAS system more difficult
The spring on the Delta Ring is incredibly strong. I am unable to remove the handgaurd without using a screwdriver to pry open the Delta Ring.

The AR-15 M4 Hand Guard on a Marui, Real AR-15 or other big names like G&G or Echo1 is also plastic...for those that wants metal hand guard below please snap out of it.

For those looking for a sports-line rifle, these guns are build solid with a very nice gearbox. You can't find 8mm in this price range anywhere else. It also come with metal barrel and stock tube unlike the Lancer crap.

I absolutely love this gun! Its fantastic for the price and has a nice weight to it even with the ABS body.

Pros:
Weight
Metal and ABS for realism (real guns aren't solid metal)
You can customize the crap out of this gun

Cons:
Handguard is pretty cheap, but a new one will fix that

Other than the handguard this is a pretty solid gun and i would deffinately recomend this to anyone!
