*Mag not included
"TACO", Modular single rifle mag pouch. This unique pouch, compared to similar pouches in its class, will hold more than just the AR series of mags. Not only will it hold AR type magazines including P-MAGS, it will also hold mags for the AK, FAL, M14, SR25, M1A1 20rd, G3, Saiga 12, and more. It can even hold some types of radios. It will hold large flash bangs and M-18 smoke grenades.
The "TACO" mag pouch measures 3" in width compared to the top selling mag pouch which is wider and disrupts much needed space on the user's modular platform. Made of Cordura, Polymer, and shock-cord. It is silent when stuck against and while extracting the mag. The "TACO" maintains a positive grip on the mag, which is adjustable, and does not need any other use of a securing system unless desired by the user. Webbing tabs are sewn in on the top for use of "over the top" bungee retainers if desired (not included). Additional loop velcro is sewn in the inside if the user wishes to use adhesive backed hook velcro on his magazine body for added security. Testers have reported no issues other than it is a little hard to mount to a platform, though this was very little concern to them compared to the overwhelming positives this unique mag pouch provides. "IF YOU RUN AK DO NOT GET THESE!
So, I bought these thinking "Yes finally I have enough to get some taco's & not use those frustrating condors anymore." (Condor m4 kangaroos) To my dismay there where a few problems with mounting these among other things.
I use a 5.11 tactec plate carrier, the weight & that cool drag handle gizmo is what sold me, if only I waited for the molle mountable version. As such, the cumberbund is shock cord to give you that flexibility & save weight. I tried mounting it onto the cumberbund & was only able to get two lines of molle in it as is it's probable intended use. No matter how I laced them the mags would wobble quite a bit, this may not be a problem for you, but for me it's a snag hazard, noise issue, & given time it would probably wear down your skin or gear slapping on your side all day.
Don't get me wrong, these things are well worth the money if you run M4/M16. They hold really nice & give you that flexibility of different mag types. They are solid in construction as I've come to know with HSGI, used to own a silverthorn chest rig, thing was amazing.
If you do run AK or any longer magazine like that I would suggest getting the HCM version instead, longer pouch means more support & less banana out of your hammock.
"I really like these pouches and they are really tight to my rig.
Webmaster I was wondering if you could put another one on top of that one like molly weave another taco pouch on it
