I have had two run ins with this nifty little thing. I own a few for my own loadout for weekend games, it's great to have if you find yourself with too many straps everywhere and need something to keep them in place (sling, drink tube, backpack straps) and for hanging my mask and/or helmet from when I don't need/want it on.

My second run in was from Basic Combat Training (Aug-Oct 2010) where they were issued as part of the FLC (fighting load carrier) for the same reasons as described above. They are really nice, nifty and keep working despite sand, rain, and abuse. I plan on keeping mine around and even taking them on deployments and field exercises in the future.

I really love these. They act as a semi- permanent carabiner to put on any MOLLE webbing. It's a pain at first to get on and off, but you quickly learn to do it fast without any tools. It also becomes easier to take off one the webbing has been softened. These are nearly impossible to fall of on their own, and everything clips on nicely.

love them, they are very sturdy, fit perfectly for molle, and very practical for attaching accessories.
