This buffer is designed mostly to increase your rate of fire than recoil, although it does both quite well so it is an excellent choice for a drop-in ROF increase as the secondary spring on the buffer itself is extremely stiff (works like shocks on a car) and rebounds the buffer/bolt really fast and also drastically decreases the shock on your gun coming from the impact of the buffer hitting. My only thing is the ROF was too fast for my preference (only have 30rnds in the mag) it truly is 300% (3x faster cycle than stock).

I experimented with taking the secondary spring off and that slowed down ROF too much (about 50% of stock ROF) and put way too much shock through the gun as screws started getting loose and backing themselves out after a few mags. I have since got the RA-tech buffer and it suits me perfectly.

Pros:
Increase ROF
Decrease shock (wear and tear) on gun
Probably the safest 'drop-in' upgrade for the WE M4

Cons:
ROF is too fast for 30rnd mags and cant be effectively slowed down
