Overall a pretty good piece. had to cut grooves down one side for the wires to fit in properly. Very tight fit, but i didnt have to grind the sides down to make it fit. wired up pretty easily, just the reverse of how they came off the original piece. Had to use the barrel cover from original part to keep the barrel stationary.

Great replacement piece if you ever want to do some future mods b/c it does not come with a silencer, allowing you to do what ever you want with it, such as a new or custom flash hider, G36E or SL8 conversions or putting on silencers. Just installed this on my Echo-1 G36C. It is a Very tight fit. And as stated on other reviews, it does take away some key screw points that would make it a little more reliable not to crack or break. Also had to do some custom sanding or cutting to make the wires go in smoothly, but overall not a big problem. Taking away the the little tab that holds in the battery is nice though. I can now EASILY fit my 9.6V in. It takes a little toying with to get the wires to hide and fit nicely, but once you figure it out it's easy. Definitely recommend.

I'm not sure what pieces the other people received when they ordered this part but I didn't have to modify anything to get this to fit into my JG G35C. In fact it is identical to the one that I replaced that was broken! The only metal piece is the outer barrel assemly. The fuse holder is plastic. I was hoping for an all metal everything but for this price you cannot beat it! And for the record the fuse snap-in holder is present on the assembly I received.
