"Probably some of the worst midcaps. I tried to love them, I truly did, but these mags are pretty bad. I've ran them through a JG SG 550. JG 552, and an ICS 551. These mags do good with .2s, but forget using anything heavier. Can even load .25's in them without them struggling horribly to feed. You have to smack and tip them upside down for the spring to even move up. They fed flawlessly with .2s, but for a DMR build these are some of the worst. Seams at the top bulge when loading, and 2 mags have completely split and I had to super glue them all along their seams as if you would super glue a severe paper cut. (I have 6, and 2 from 2 different boxes had the issue, and all 6 had trouble feeding .28s, more so than others.) The plastic is a nice mold, but needs stronger seam glue. Another gripe I have with these is that you can't disassemble them completely for cleaning. You can only take out the spring. (Cleaned the spring and even put some silicone in the Mags and they still dont feed good. 3 of the 6 at least feed, but very slowly and not enough to keep up with a 9.6v on full auto. (Usually feed on semi, that is, if you get the good mags.) Horrible Quality control.
Good feeding with .2s,
Great capacity (if you can get that many in them)
Easy modification to fit ICS that doesn't effect internal performance
Won't feed anything above .2s without MAJOR issues
Can't disassemble for cleaning
Breaks speed loaders (rare)
Picky with BBs. (Only feeds good with certain brands) *I only run G&G, Matrix, Goldenball, valken.
Overall a 2/5. I loved these midcaps until recently. The recent 2 pack is horrible, and these mags have a very low tolerance. If you think it's worth the risk, or you only use these for CQB, then go for it. If you're a field gamer like me, be wary.
"Good magazines for the price, but require some modification to fit both ICS and G&G branded SIG series guns. If you have a file and about 4 minutes of time, you can get this working for either of those guns. My only complaint is that you cannot remove the nubs without the help of a file/dremel/hand saw, but that is rectified by spending some more time on the magazines. These still have the best capacity of any of the SIG midcaps, and I would recommend them to anyone who needs it.
"Ok guys, I have written a review on this product before. I am writing another for clarification on the miss-feeding issue in my JG S550.
I stated in my last review that they needed some spray silicone oil, which they do, but they also need to have about 500-1000 rounds run through them before they function properly. NOTE: When you use the spray silicone oil you need to let the mags wick (basically dry before use) for about a day on a towel.
You also DO NOT need to OVERLOAD them. Your average speedloader holds about 110 6mm bbs. The fake markers on the back of the mag that show how many rounds it holds, if it were a "real gun", will be your indicator on where to stop loading. You also have another indicator on your speedloader, if the markers go from 30-90 rds, to show you where to stop loading. If you put the mag up to the light, while loading, you can see the bbs being loaded in and you want to stop just at the 30 mark around the bend or a little past. If you use your speed loader, to gauge how many, you will stop just below the 50 mark. That should be around 65-75 bbs. DO NOT put more than that in the mag because it will start to separate at the top of the mag.
Just so you know I run these in my DMR so the mags are perfect for my setup.
No miss-feeding after break in
65-75rds is not bad
They come in a 2 Pack
They do not need modified in a JG S550
They link together nicely
They fit linked together in a dual M4 mag pouch (made by Phantom that I bought here on Evike.com)
Cons; They do not hold 100rds (at least not without damaging them)
They need breaking in (which I don't know if this is much of a con because I have not owned a mag yet that has not)
Overall I suggest you buy these mags if you own a JG S550 and are looking to run this in MILSIM events.
