"i used this gun 2 times then the gear box broke. has low fps and feels like a made in china kids toy "I have had this gun for a full year before the trigger selector broke... The UAR still works, the place I went to repair it did not do such a good job (local Miami place). In order to fully repair the trigger selector I would have had to spend the same amount that I did to purchase it, to repair it.
All and all... this is a great gun, while it was running, I never had a complain... it was light weight, small and compact for CQB, but it had the range for a field, even without swapping out the "long range spring" it came with. Which was easy to do... Even adding a new muzzle was easy. "Great design concept. This will definitely get attention on the field. The execution of the UAR is flawed though. I understood before getting the UAR that there would be magazine compatibility problems, but that was easily resolved. I used the upgrade spring exclusively in this, and the UAR came in at a consistent 1.49 - 1.51 Joules. The stock Hopup is metal, and had a decent seal with the nozzle. Bucking tore after 1500 bbs, and was replaced with a ProWin AK hopup chamber and madbull bucking. Performance in shot consistency improved marginally.
The Version 3 gearbox is decent, but I don't believe it was intended to be used with the upgraded spring on a normal basis. After a year of use, and 8,000 - 10,000 bbs later the gearbox was removed for maintenance. I discovered that several teeth were broken on the gears, and yet performance did not seem to be any different than when I first used the UAR. Piston was in need of replacement after finding a few cracks.
The trigger on the UAR seemed to be more like a two stage trigger, quite a bit of play in the linkage before the trigger made contact with the tripper on the gearbox. This was easy to remedy with a set screw located inside the UAR, but the gearbox will need to be removed to access this screw. Once changed, trigger response improved due to slack being removed from linkage. Still has the same firm squeeze.
All-in-all, not a bad design, with modifications, and upgrading the gearbox, or replacing with an HPA system. Read More Reviews Write a Review

APS Full Size Urban Assault Rifle Airsoft AEG w/ Metal Gear Box
The new V.2 UAR now features rear wiring to store a much larger battery in the stock and a thicker and larger removable butt plate to extend the battery storage compartment allowing use of a wider range of batteries.
Another improvement made to the V.2 UAR is a modified magazine well to expand magazine compatibility to a greater number of high cap and mid cap magazines as well as an improved and more ergonomic magazine release.
Finally the gearbox has been improved upon for more consistent feeding and cycling during rapid fire thanks to the newly revised air nozzle as well as proper reinforcement to allow the gun to run smoothly on LiPo batteries. Features: Three Magazine Release button
Unlike the traditional SMG, the UAR has three magazine release buttons. Two buttons are located at the front part of the gun parallel to each other and the other button located next to the magazine housing at the back. Three magazine release buttons allow users to release the magazine in different tactical situation. Mirror design for both left and right handed users
Magazine Release button is located on both the left and right sides of the gun. The cocking handle has quick detach function allowing users to place the handle on either left or right. Users can operate this gun easily no matter if they are left handed or right handed. Adjustable Hop Up and functional bolt release catch
Similar to APS ASR Series, the bolt can be locked backward which allows the user to adjust the Hop Up easily. After adjustment, users can simply press down the bolt release button located on the top of the butt stock to release the bolt back to its original position. Tactical Rail
The UAR standard comes with 4 side rails. The top and side rails allows players to add lights, scopes, red dots and much more Unique appearance
The UAR comes equipped with a dynamic trigger, ergonomic pistol grip with room to place two 123A batteries. A modified magazine housing allows a user to perform fast reloads without any trouble. The design of the bigger trigger guard is also extremely helpful when a player is wearing gloves. V3 Gearbox
The UAR uses APS V3 Hybrid gearbox. With its bullpup design, the UAR is a medium size CQC airsoft gun with a long 385mm inner barrel. Easy Assembling and dissembling
One of the greatest features of the UAR is it's special design where no tools are required when assembling and dissembling. A user can simply disassemble the gun by removing 3 main pins on the lower receiver. The unused main pin can be inserted on the top rail. No tools are required and users can reassemble the UAR in less than 60 seconds. Hop Up Chamber
For the internals APS has equipped the UAR with a genuine hop up chamber, which is rarely found in other AEGs. The standard velocity of the UAR is 350 FPS which is easily upgradable by changing the main spring.
