"First time picking up the gun it feels so cheap its funny. Its not accurate so far the spring rattles like crazy. its Very light which is good and has a very nice second handle. the best part of the gun are the mags and id say it shoots 315 fps.
"ASG Armalite M15A1 Carbine Airsoft Spring Rifle:
It's a good beginner gun. If you want to buy your first spring rifle, I would certainly recommend it.
-got what I expected
-included sight works very well with a few adjustments
-hi cap mag
-good for the price
-looks cool lol
-reload process is somewhat annoying
-just lining up the front and rear sights won't hit the target
-not that powerful
This is my first airsoft gun. I bought it with the intention of purchasing a simple spring rifle for around $30 that had a nice sight included. When I received it yesterday, I was greeted with some nice packaging and an instruction manual that was written in proper English (always a good sign as far as I'm concerned). There was also a handy vertical grip, a crosshair sight, an extra mag for quick reloading, and 500 0.12g BBs (although I am using 0.2g instead). On to the actual gun:
Feels good in my hands. Pretty decent weight for a mostly plastic gun. The magazine holds up to 400 rounds, but only lines up 18 that are ready to fire. To load more, you have to cock back this little spring and shake the mag. This process is a little tiring, but certainly better than using a speed loader every 18 shots.
I first tried to shoot just by lining up the front and rear sights, and found this to be quite inaccurate. I was disappointed; then I tried using the included crosshair sight. What a difference!!! It took a little bit of adjusting, but lining up the rear sight with the crosshair (and ignoring the front sight) hit the mark every time.
The gun isn't that powerful (with my 0.2g BBs). For reference, it won't penetrate a soda can from about 15 feet, but will at least go through corrugated cardboard at the same distance.
It also looks really cool.
So overall I'm pretty happy with my purchase. Hope you will be too.
