"Chris K, judging a gun based on fps and metal content is one of the worst mistakes you can make. It's like buying a car based on it's horsepower.

On to the review... I don't actually own the gun, but my friend has it and I've used it before. It's ok, but definately not the best springer for the price. Accuracy and durability leave a lot to be desired. If you want performance equal to a mid grade springer pistol or just want to add an M3A1 to your collection, this is the right choice.

"I bought this gun just to have a "Grease Gun" for my collection. Painted it a bit and now it looks nice. If you want serious shooting and gaming with a real airsoft, get something from the gas / electric / sniper category. Or else, expect something $16 that is a model you want to shoot around at home for fun.

Review : Historical Facts of the M3A1 Grease gun: (This auction is for a replica Airsoft model of the grease gun.) The M3 ?Grease Gun? (more formally, the U.S. Submachine Gun, Cal. .45, M3/M3A1,) was a submachine gun developed by the United States during World War II as a cheaper substitute for the Thompson. It was nicknamed ?the Grease Gun? because of its resemblance to an automotive grease gun.
Although Thompson submachine guns were kept in service throughout World War Two, M3 Grease Guns were provided in a quantity to equip all necessary troops with submachine guns. .
